NepaJames8602 Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Picked up a general 1 to 2 inches after the last obs that I posted last night. Measuring this was a nightmare with the wind. I'll call it 15.0" total all said and done. Seeing two 20.0" reports just to my east near Lake Wallenpaupack. I guess it's possible. Great storm! You must be real close to Narrowsburg Ny? I have a buddy who lives in Beach Lake. He just called and said the drifts were real bad in that area. I'm just south of Hamlin Pa, on the very northern edge of the Pocono Plateau close to 84.
gravitylover
11 hours of freezing mist with sessions of light snow all glued to the ~18-20" on the ground has made this one of the more annoying big storms in a long time. I have the important stuff cleared, now have to detail it over the next few days so there's room for more. The hardest part ahead is digging through the street pile (5' high and 10' thick) and up the front yard to get to the oil fill by Friday for a delivery. gravitylover
Boy, they did a terrible job clearing the roads on my hill. Rt6 is fine but everything else I was on was sketchy at best. Then you have the crappy plow guys that push across the street and leave a bump in the bank.
Brasiluvsnow
I guess all this soreness and these body aches from clearing all that snow is a good thing ,,,,,,,just letting me know that Im alive
crossbowftw3
Early feeling is that this weekend will probably end up one of those “city east” specials we see once a winter. After the hell of trying to shovel out what happened Sunday, would like a small break, then get on with the rest of winter.
CPcantmeasuresnow
3.7° right now with a 20 inch or so snow pack. One of those times where I won't mind getting a storm this weekend but I'm not gonna live and die with it either. I'm pretty content right now with the way things are and look. The one thing lacking so far this winter has been extreme cold. I've been below zero only once -1°, Daytimes have been cold but for whatever reason we haven't had one of those nights of clear, calm, and widespread radiational cooling to negative double digits. I'm nitpicking I know.
