You certainly had the right idea of things falling well short of expectations. Wind and clouds just never cooperated. Low of only 22 here. Looks like 21 at MDT.

Our coldest spots were our relatively highest elevation locations with both Glenmoore (19.4) and East Nantmeal (19.7) with lows just below 20 degrees. Unlike on radiational cooling nights where our valley spots are colder...with cold air advection into the area following cold fronts our ridge locales are often colder. This was a record low for today for East Nantmeal with 22 years of records. Some models still try to throw some flurries or light snow as far north as Chester County this afternoon with the coastal low and a little more after midnight with a coastal inverted trough. Either way not much but if it does occur it could cause a slippery spot on to with temperatures remaining in the 20's for high temperatures. We will remain well below normal for at least the next week. Our coldest day after today looks to be Monday with highs again remaining in the 20's. Our next chance of snow or rain will be toward Wednesday night.

Thanks! Getting it exactly right was pure luck. Being in the ballpark was somewhat easier by expecting the winds and clouds to have a direct influence on the temp. It just felt like guidance and forecasts were way too aggressive on how cold it was going to get.

I sorta felt bad about missing your backyard's temp by 5 degrees until I realized that I nailed MDT on the button...and that's the only one that matters, right?

You are probably right that his career is damaged because of the things he said about other schools and people, but I actually came across kind of liking him more haha.  Fascinating to listen to, just hashing everything out with real talk.  Sounded like totally normal stuff people would say when having what they think is a private conversation.  Speaking of which, the bigger issue here is whoever released that (likely a player) committed a serious crime (I believe a felony?).  Pennsylvania has very strict two-party consent laws about releasing private conversations.  That's despicable behavior by whoever did it and will likely scuttle what was left of whatever chance they had to hire someone decent.  I felt almost dirty listening to it, knowing it was meant to be between only the people in that room.  A total violation of trust, and again, criminal behavior.

One common theme (at least it seems this way) that continues this season for southern tier folks is snow falling both north and south of us before we get into the action. Some nice pics coming out of MD/VA this morning. The sky certainly has the snow look down here. Reminds me very much of 1970s/early 1980s winters when areas south repeatedly cashed in while I wallowed in my tears.

What bothered me most was the utter worthlessness of the leaker. This wasn't some high minded thing where a crime or conspiracy was revealed or prevented. It was purely spite. Someone like that shouldn't be able to say anything if someone else in that room goes about torpedoing his life secretly, it would be well deserved.

Agreed. He seems like an honest guy who just fucked up his job really, really badly. But I'd be using similar language and Oregon is full of weirdos. You ever see Portland? It's like another planet lol 

 

Whoever leaked it should spend a few years at SCI Huntingdon getting their butthole widened out. I'm not saying that only happens in Huntingdon, but a dude once went on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and talked about how rough Huntingdon is. So go there.

Sometimes lucky is better than competent. They supposedly had contact back and n October but he doesn't negotiate till season is over, God bless him. I secretly wonder if some people realized this and prevented kraft behind the scenes from his own stupidity. I suppose we shall see because there is definitely an amazing long jornalism piece waiting with bow tied regarding this whole shit storm. Overall I'm happy.

We need to find a great GM who can handle to boosters, NIL, the portal. I thought it was always stupid to try to find a Leonardo DaVinci who was great at all things instead of playing to strengths.

Yes, next season will likely be rough but that was probably always going to be the case.  Question about Tony, are you implying that he is the guy suspected of recording the audio?  Because I didn't really hear anything damning about him while listening to it.  Pat mentioned about the defense falling apart after he got hurt and the AD guys were kind of razzing him about getting offers from other teams, specifically naming Miami, but I didn't hear much beyond that.

I don't think Tony recorded the call. I do think he is actively hijacking the program with the Hire Terry Smith shit. I think he was trying to sabotage any hire that isn't Terry Smith. I think he can go F himself. There's the door.

Quite a few stations across Chester County have remained in the 25 to 27 degree range for maximum temperatures so far today. If temperatures don't rise much more before midnight today will finish in the Top 3 coldest December 5th daytime highs since records began in 1893. So far here in East Nantmeal our high has been 25.7 degrees we are currently at 25.4 degrees. Below are the top 5 lowest max temperature days.
