Met1985
Next weekends storm is still there but with a ton of caution. But for the mountains a nice run.
Met1985
With the setup next weekend that would be a synoptic storm with the possibility of flow snow on the backside.

Tyler Penland
The 3km NAM looks convective tomorrow afternoon, works in nearly 100j/kg of surface cape and some mixed layer as well, maybe enough for some isolated lightning strikes as the trough axis swings through. Next weekend is certainly interesting. One thing that gives me caution is the GFS verification scores have not been great lately. That said I'll be down in Georgia next weekend so you can pretty much take a snowstorm to the bank- I missed the November one down there too.
Hvward
Back to snow and cold finally today, and the pattern change is here. Wednesday night and into Thursday looks very interesting. We typically do pretty good with the ULL's here in WNC, but if we could get some Gulf interaction like the 0z GFS showed it could turn into a lot more. I am interested to see what the model have to say over the next 36 hours.

Buckethead
We got 2 cancelations for the short term rentals for MLK Holiday Weekend because of no snow. We could use a big storm about now.I think they'll regret that decision at some point this week. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk 3

Maggie Valley Steve
We are getting another snow shower in between breaks in the clouds. No accumulations and frankly I was a bit surprised that we would see snow today down to the Valley floor. Cataloochee is snowing and the snow guns are blowing! It should be a great week ahead for the ski areas with lots of opportunities to build back the snow pack!
