Most spots across the western burbs have received between 0.50" and 1.00" of rain over the past 4 days with the coastal storm. Here in East Nantmeal we have picked up 0.70" of rain. We look to dry out and cool down over the rest of the work week with today being our warmest day till the weekend. By Thursday we will see high temperatures remaining in the 50's but with 70's possible especially in the valley locations by Sunday. We also see our next chance of rain by Sunday evening before we turn cooler again to start the new work week.

Well I nickel and dimed my way to 0.38" yesterday with a 2nd round that took me to 0.32" from 0.30", and then another round to 0.38" for the day.  This morning I had a surprising 0.08", giving me a grand total of almost 3/4" over 4 days (0.74") and 0.92" for the month so far.

It bottomed out at 52 just after 6:30 this morning and hit 67 just before 3 pm for a high, after the skies cleared and the sun came out.

Currently cloudy and 60 with dp 55.

Below normal temperatures should continue for much of the next week with the exception of Sunday which could see some valley locations touch the low 70's. Our next rain chances look to increase by later Sunday with the next cold front. We turn below normal again to start next week.

As soon as the sun went down the winds picked up. Definitely some 20mph+ gust...

An area of stronger 925 mb cold air advection (25-35 knots of wind at this level) crossing the region late this evening.

Winds picked up around 9:00 p.m, had some good gust. At 4:00 a.m., all was calm. May have been sooner that's when I woke up...

Many of our valley spots across the area saw lows this morning in the 30's with the lowest being our typical coldest spot up in Warwick Township at 33.2 degrees. While some higher spots like West Grove only made it as low as 42.8 degrees. There are a couple of below normal temperature days on the way both today and tomorrow before we moderate to near normal by Saturday and briefly above normal on Sunday before we chill down again to start the new work week. Next rain chances arrive on Sunday night with the next cold front.
