ChescoWx
A beautiful weekend underway across the area. Some of our cooler valley locations like Warwick Township reached the 40's for low temperatures this morning. We should run at least 5 to 8 degrees cooler than yesterday for most spots. Some ridge locations may now get much above the lower 70's while valley spots could see the mid to upper 70's. We turn a few degrees cooler tomorrow before a slow warm up to well into the 70's by Tuesday before another cooldown to close out the work week. We do have some rain chances increasing by Tuesday and looks like it will last through the rest of the week. Let’s hope we cash in on some of that liquid gold! ChescoWx
Similar temperatures to yesterday across the area with temperatures warming by Tuesday to well into the 70's to near 80 degrees. We then turn cooler for the rest of the week. The good news is our chances of rain are starting to increase by late Tuesday, and showers will be in the forecast for most of the rest of the week. Most models paint between 0.50" to 1.25" across the area. Let's hope this comes to pass.

Yardstickgozinya
D***I guess they are gonna let the ridiculousness on the site continue until there's nothing left. I've been stopping it in the last couple days hoping to hear some opinions on next week's rain chances. Even when we had whispers of a possible cutoff, energy this place was crickets. I haven't been posting at all so what's the excuse now ? Never mind.

Jns2183 Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:19 AM What started a few days ago as a 4-5 day 1.5"-2" soaker has already shrunk to a 3 day 0.75" event with as much soaking power as the Steelers. Soon I fear it will move to Bengal soaking levels. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk

If I'm seeing it right, it looks like 3-4 inches along and either side of the I-81 corridor. Although, I'll admit that perusing the globals, WPC is much more aggressive than the models are currently indicating.
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 12:50 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:50 PM We will see humidity levels creeping up over the next couple of days. Today will be dry with temperatures well into the 70's. We will again be in the upper 70's to near 80 degrees tomorrow especially across valley locales. Rain chances start to ramp up by tomorrow night and those rain chances will stay with us for the rest of the week and through next weekend. A blend of all models sees between 1.5 to 2.0 inches of needed rain by Sunday morning. Of course, just like we don't shovel model snow - we can't count on model rain to deliver. Jns2183 Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM This looks closer to 3" this week. I would love to take a 6 mile night hike in wind driven rain this week. Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
Mount Joy Snowman
Low of 60. I'll be in Happy Valley for this weekend's whiteout game against Oregon so I'm keeping a close eye on things. Somewhat optimistic at this point that the bulk of the activity will have moved through and Saturday should end up as a pretty solid day.

Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk Yeah it's crazy. I've been a season ticket holder since I graduated in 2004, but I only get to 1-2 home games a year with the kids being as young as they are. This year, the Oregon game is likely the only one I'll be attending in State College. I say in State College because I still have my yearly road trip game I do with my buddies. We are coming up on year 20 of these trips and this year's takes us to the football Mecca of Piscataway, NJ to face the mighty Scarlet Knights. Hey, we've got to cross it off the list at some point ha.

I hear the scene out there is stunning. It will be our first time flying to a game. We love driving out together, whether it be Iowa City or Auburn, but these new west coast schools obviously require air travel.

Jns2183
Low of 64. Let the rain cometh. Husky stadium is beautiful and loud. Washington should have a decent team next year so maybe you'll get a fun night game to attend with huge playoff implications since it is the final game of the season. My dad and brother went out to the USC game last year and loved it. Regardless, that seems like a wonderful boys trip. ChescoWx
The NWS continues to forecast between 1.5" to 2.0" of rain across much of the area by Friday morning. Western areas of Chester County could see some beneficial rain starting this evening...further east chances look to be less. Rain chances really increase by late Wednesday night through Thursday. With the rain it will be relatively warm and humid for late September with little range in temperatures from PM highs to AM lows mainly in the mid to upper 70's for highs and the low to mid 60's for low temperatures. We start to dry out a bit on Friday before we clear out and turn cooler by Sunday.
