I'd love to see the big stuff fire along and just east of the Susquehanna (maybe east of Pillow, too) between 80 and 78 and then push east.

Please and thank you How have you been doing? I raised the blades and mowed wet this morning, just to knock it down a little. Then tomorrow, or maybe Saturday, I'll mow again at my regular height.
canderson
After today there isn’t really a threat of rain for at least 10 days it seems to me. Things will dry out fast.

Please and thank you How have you been doing? Pretty good. I've been seeing a lot of specialists and undergoing a lot of tests. Most everything I've had done to this point has come back favorably. I do have a heart issue, likely hereditary that will need to be addressed at some point. Mainly due to that, I've (we including my wife) have made some significant dietary changes. Today marks exactly 2 months since I first went into the ER (just realized that as I write this) and over the past 60 days I've lost 27 pounds and I feel SO much better. Back to the heart, the issue that will need addressed is my aortic valve, the good news is that it's in much better shape than originally feared. I was originally diagnosed with "moderate stenosis" but after further testing, blood work, etc. it is now considered "minimal." My recent blood work and vitals were probably the best numbers I've had since I was a young adult. BP is fantastic, Cholesterol is good. I probably exercise slightly more than I did prior to all of this but just changing what I put into my system is paying off. I can't stress enough how important it is to eat good, healthy foods. Veggies, nuts, fruits...and lean meats. No eating after supper. No, or very little in the way of sugary drinks. It matters.

Two weeks ago I realized I’ve become a slob* and have cut out all sugar (that isn’t in natural foods like fruits) and all fried foods, and the kicker - I no longer drink at home at all. I’ll get a beer out still but that’s not often * I should say I gained too much weight and never bothered to pay attention.

Poor eating habits are a lot easier to fall into than good ones. Especially when you're on the verge of turning 60 and haven't ate as well as I should have for many years. It took a scare to shake me out of my habit. I'm blessed that I have an opportunity to fix things.

Weight loss is more diet than exercise which oddly helps me visualize being better.

Only buying meats from the amish farmer.

Since then I've watched food & alcohol and increased steps a day to north of 17K and lost about 24lbs in 6 weeks. Amazed at how much better I feel and just how sneaky weight gain can be.
