How did the Phillies go from the 2nd best record to possibly the worst looking club in baseball in two weeks

I doubt they could beat a boomer softball team now

Because it's the Phillies being the Phillies. For years, it seems that whenever they tear it up and go on a long winning streak, they then go on an equally long losing streak, ending up right where they started before the winning.

I don't know why it happens, but it almost always seems to.

All that matters is that if the season ended today they would once again be in the postseason!  Once there they need some luck and to get hot just like all teams still alive come October. Do I think they can win the World Series? Of course.....Do I believe they will win the World Series?? As a long time Phillies phan - of course not - Go Phillies!!!

Today and Monday will be cooler than the last few days with temperatures remaining 6 to 8 degrees below normal for June. Highs on both days will be not too far from 70 degrees with some higher ridge locations staying in the upper 60's. Shower chances are around today through Tuesday morning before we clear out and warm up by Wednesday. By Wednesday temperatures should return to near normal with highs near 80 degrees with temps rising to the mid 80's by the end of the new work week.

Things could be worse. You could be a Marlins fan, like I am. I officially gave up on the season when we were swept at home by the Rockies. It's going to be a while before my team is competitive again. It's a shame because we were doing good between 2020-2023.

Pretty good cell or two in York which may slide east in the next 90 minutes.

On a side note. Can it not rain for the 20th weekend in a row? Ugh.

GFS is horrific for Saturday through Tuesday clouds showers and 10F or more below normal

As if May wasn't bad enough for the people on weather suicide watch

In other news the farmers replanted corn crops are in danger the ground is mud and can't recover

We should see some nice weather today through much of Friday before yet another wet weekend. Although not a wash out rain chances will be around especially on Saturday. Once shower chances arrive they may stick around through at least next Tuesday. Temperature wise we should see highs near 80 today and up to the low to mid 80's both Thursday and Friday before we see highs drop back below normal for mid June through much of the next week. Looking ahead at this point we don't see any sustained heat or temps in the 90's across the area for the rest of June.

There was a station that reported their first 90-degree day of the summer here in Chesco with a 91.4 at the KOQN Brandywine West Chester Airport - always about the hottest spot in the county. No other station reached 90 with the most popular number being 88 degrees at multiple stations. The coolest were at the relatively high elevation spots at East Nantmeal 85.1 and the 86.2 at West Grove. Tomorrow should be a good 5 to 7 degrees cooler with more clouds as we begin yet another unsettled and wet weekend.

A pretty nice day on tap across the area before shower chances begin to increase late tonight. Of course, the weekend looks have some rain at times. Although, not a complete wash out with the best chances of rain late tonight through Sunday morning. Rain chances to lessen by Monday night but ramp up again by midweek. Does anyone remember those drought concerns?

Another June day not getting out of the 60’s

I’m sure September will rock!

Better bottle this up because the long range doesn't look "cool".

I did manage my first 90+ of the season last Thursday, actually hitting 91.  And with all the rain threats that were progged, I actually ended up getting the most yesterday, with 0.60" for the plants.

It's currently overcast and 64 with dp 64 and 0.01" in the bucket from some scattered showers.

Yeah, looks like our luck is about to run out. Topped out at 64F yesterday, probably won't see that for a high again until mid October. :(

In 2023, when we last had highs in the mid-60s this late in June, we next had a high in the 60s on 9/23, which began a week of highs 70 or lower (although October started warm with several days in the 80s):

I bottomed out at 68 this morning and had 0.19" in the bucket from some overnight rain.  It's currently mostly cloudy (sun popping in and out) and 82 with a horrible dp of 76. :yikes:
