Saturday forecast went from 70F and sunny to 59F and cloudy. It was a gradual improvement Friday through Sunday in the warmth. What happened some unforeseen backdoor front?

NBC10 and Fox29 had Philly 62-63F range for Sat. So yeah, we may stay in the 50s;

50F @ a little past midnight...

Below is an analysis of the average temperature by decade here in Chester County for the months March - April and May since the 1890's. The average temperature over these 132 years of records is 51.5 degrees. So far in the 2020's we are running about 0.5 degrees above the average. The 1940's were not surprisingly the warmest decade.

Here is the analysis for PHL during the same period. The 2010s, on the strength of the first 3 years (2010-2012) broke the record by over one degree from the previous decade. The 2020s are on pace to break that record.

1890s - 51.84

1900s - 52.51

1910s - 52.98

1920s - 53.23

1930s - 53.18

1940s - 52.81

1950s - 52.83

1960s - 51.31

1970s - 53.16

1980s - 52.89

1990s - 53.85

2000s - 54.17

2010s - 55.38

2020s - 55.34 (this will likely increase after 2024)

Long term average: 53.16

Today will make it 8 of the last 10 days featuring below normal temperatures. That ends tomorrow as temps soar into the high 70's and then 80's on both Monday and Tuesday! A slight shot at some showers today but a better chance on Tuesday. Temps should remain above normal in the mid 70's for much of the upcoming week.
Chester County Records for today: High 95 degrees at Sadsburyville (1915) / Low 26 degrees at Coatesville (1926) / Rain 2.45" at East Nantmeal (2007)

55F and overcast be real happy to put this March-April combo behind me as it now looks to switch over to instant summer.

Pollen accumulation is heavy at times with significant accumulation. All that rain to this.

We have a chance to hit 80 degrees here in East Nantmeal for the first time since last September 9th. If not today for sure tomorrow. Mostly sunny both today and tomorrow before shower chances increase by Tuesday PM. Slightly cooler but still above normal temps will close out the work week.
Chester County Records for today: High 92 degrees in Phoenixville (1915) / Low 26 degrees at Coatesville (1946) / Rain 2.00" at Devault (1952)

Looks like a  "reverse Wiggum-Rule" in effect, going from frosts/freezes to almost heatwave for the following week.

My past week's lows since 4/21 were 39, 38, 37, 50, 43, 36, 40 for yesterday morning, with a high of 59 and a low of 49 this morning.

It took awhile for the warm front to push up this morning but once the sun came out, it was off to the races.

Picked up 0.18" of much-needed rain after midnight (it has been dry the past 7 days) and it's currently mostly sunny and 77, with dp way up there at 63.

I don't think it's going to be that bad this week for the burbs (even the city.) Mid-upper 80s for Mon, low 80s or so Tues, 70s rest of the week and maybe 60s next weekend.

I'm already at 88 with dp 64. It's not like a July sauna but there is a blast furnace feel even with the humidity at 45%, which is something for the end of April.

I ended up hitting 80 for a high yesterday and had a low of 61 this morning.
