jwilson
No precip falling at all, temps still in the mid thirties. The southern edge of this is pretty frail looking; will be many hours before the heavier stuff gets here. Just have to hope the temps drop by then. If you look at the larger-scale radar, you can actually see the center of the low starting to wrap. Quite unusual for a "clipper."
MrsH
Wet snow falling here in Wash. County, about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, starting to create thick slush on rural roads and covering grassy areas.

CoraopolisWx
There's some heavy radar returns being wasted as rain over Cincinnati with the vort energy. We'll probably be relying on convergence and lift for our moderate snows.

psunate1977
Not going to lie. I'm sure we see good snows over night, but at 8PM I was hoping to see more then what I have saw so far. north pgh
Currently a Mix at my BP location. Here's to an over-performer with at least 6 inches for all our forum. Have to say I am so jealous of the East Coast. I think the East Coast is getting a big storm but I think they are overdoing the totals. People will get 18 inches and be disappointed because it is not 20-30. You watch.

PA, N.J. and N.Y.C. that are riding the Euro's extreme solution, will need to be prepared for a lot less snow. 6-10" is more likely

What difference does it really make if we get 6 inches of snow and are under an advisory or warning? I don't see much difference other than it sounds more dangerous. north pgh
lol reading the posts in the New York Metro area. The NAM has a bad run for them and they are all throwing it out because the Euro is the model of choice. TWC better hope this doesn't bust because they are in dangerous hype for the most historical storm ever! Stay tuned.

Polar Vortex 2014
NAM looks pretty good. 0.50-0.75" of precipitation for most of SW Pennsylvania through 27 hours. I would think that would yield 6-9" of snow.
