Holy **** does anyone know what happened last night? it looks like we received significant snowfall overnight wow!!

Hypothetically speaking (LOL) if I was to go from niagara falls to depew or south buffalo to enjoy the snow..where is the best place? Me and the girlfriend want to go to a park or something. Also is there any things to do around there? Or coffee shops / places to eat?...I know it's off topic.

Tons of parks in Erie County to drive around or take easy walks (might be tough to hike right now without snowshoes at some of these parks):

There's also this one in south Cheektowaga:  http://www.tocny.org/Portals/0/Departments/Facilities%20Parks%20B%20and%20G/Documents/Losson%20Nature%20Trails%20Broch.pdf

Lots of coffee shops and places to eat near all of these parks.

Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo is quite beautiful, it was designed by Olmstead (as was Delaware Park in Buffalo and Central Park in NY). A creek with a waterfall runs through the park, though I suspect it may be iced over now. I haven't been, but I've heard good things about nearby Dog Ears Cafe on Abbott Rd.

I'd second the suggestion of Cazenovia Park, If you can go a bit further, Chestnut Ridge Park (south of Orchard Park) is where a lot of Erie County folks go to enjoy a big snowfall. It's about 20-25 minutes' drive SE of downtown Buffalo, assuming the roads are open and traffic is moving well.

Is anyone here in the Adams Center Area of New York? They've been getting hammered for nearly 3 days with this snow band at 2-4" per hour nearly nonstop

Watertown was at 25" as of this morning (about 10 miles north of Adams Center), so I assume that area is in the 2-3 foot range at least.

I measured 11" in an area that would be the least wind driven, but it's still probably a little low. It's sooo beautiful outside, everything is white. Now to get a little warmer so roads don't suck. And no flooding this weekend, plox. Could KBUF possibly see 60 on Saturday with how it's trending?

A tad over 23 inches here as the total for this event. We had 12 straight hours from 5 PM Monday to 5 AM Tuesday with 1-2 inches of snow per hour. Following that we had 24 straight hours, aside from a few hours Tuesday Morning of .5-1 inch per hour snowfall rates. We were between -5-10 degrees for the duration of this event. Winds were sustained at 20-40 MPH with gusts over 50 MPH during the heart of the event Monday Night. All in all an absolutely incredible storm. Looking forward to the warmth coming up, that cold was to much, and my heating bills are going to be ridiculous this month. ^_^

There's also this one in south Cheektowaga:  http://www.tocny.org...rails Broch.pdf

I go to Losson/Stiglmeier often. If there's a solid pack, fine. But most of their paths are wooden bridges with inclines which are ice rinks if there's any frozen precip. Caz Park would be safer, but it's kind of a dump around there. And it lost most of their trees with the October storm.

Overall this was a great storm aside from that brutal cold,my final total is 14.5".

I tried to drive to Adams. Couldn't get past Barnes Corner yesterday AM. At around 8 am it was snowing 1-2" an hour with prob. 2.5 feet of snow on the ground.  Winds were creating whiteout conditions. It was simply incredible. And that wasn't even the heart of the band.  Based on what I saw...somewhere north of Barnes and south of watertown was getting destroyed with 3" snowfall.
