NAM tends to over do SE-S LLJ

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. The NAM soundings are actually more conservative verses the GFS.

Just took a peak at the HRRR, it maxes out the color shading at 850 mb for winds, but 10 m gust product is pretty poor relative to the going forecasts. Gusts "only" 40-45 knots. It does pop some 55 to 60 knots behind the front in western parts of the Northeast though.

HOLY ****...this is from the SPS from OKX

AT 1244 AM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING

A SMALL CLUSTER OF HEAVY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE

EXTENDING FROM PLAINFIELD TO HOBOKEN TO CROWN HEIGHTS...AND MOVING

NORTHEAST AT 100 MPH.

Fast, but think about what is forcing these convective elements. That 100 kt LLJ.
