Overall, this was a pretty decent event for Toronto. 6" of nice fluffy snow in the downtown core. And looking ahead, there could be a reinforcing shot of light snow late Friday night into Saturday morning as a weak shortwave from the west combines with energy from the developing Eastern US coastal storm to give Toronto some snow.

Just when it looked like Pearson wouldn't be on the low side....

Toronto Pearson Airport 10/3.9"

Toronto Etobicoke 13/5.1"

Toronto Downsview 14/5.5"

Toronto East York 16/6.3"

Toronto beaches 15/5.9"

Toronto downtown 15/5.9"

But seriously, 10cm isn't unreasonable considering all those numbers are approximations due to the wind.

its reasonable but if you havent already noticed, its always the lowest amongst all the stations across the GTA. Their was quite the heavy band centered around that area that wasnt across other regions plus Etobicoke is literally right beside Pearson.

Oh well, it was 10cm, the high end of EC's forecasted amounts.

That's true. The fact that they're habitual lowballers is annoying, especially considering that's our "official" climate observation station. However, knowing the crap they pull sometimes, 10 wasn't that bad. If I had to have guessed last night I would said they'd come in with like 6 or 7.

Took 19 measurements in areas of the backyard with the best wind protection.

Final snowfall in Oakville, ON: 7.11" or 18.05cm

This falls into the higher end of my predicted 5-8" :)

Once again, really fun storm. Fun week of tracking, now back into the lull. Best we've seen in a while and it was fun to get out there during the height of the action. Seems like Environment Canada and CTV news at least, really dropped the ball on snow predictions and watch/warning issuance. They need to hire some of the people on this board!

You guys cleaned up, relatively speaking. Congrats! Btw...like the precision in your measurements. ;)

Oh, and did you shovel a pathway in your grass or am I seeing things?

Yeah we did pretty well! Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton all did pretty well GTA-wise.

I'm an unemployed recent university graduate, so snow measurements are the closest I've been to real work in a few weeks haha

Shoveled a pathway for the dog haha. Also shows the snow depth quite nicely.

And because I'm a snow weenie, video soon to come!

Alright my final contribution from the storm! Shot some video last night during the best snow, about 35 dbz over my house. Rates were about 2cm/hr at this point. This probably lasted 40 minutes or so. Nice winds too that you can hear if you turn it up, along with my sniffling haha. 1080p for your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy, and hopefully something else will come by soon (although it sure doesn't look like it)!
