  1. Mt. Tremblant picked up a light dusting of snow last night...it's coming https://www.instagram.com/monttremblant/?hl=en
  2. https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/ottawa-storm-winds-reached-190-km-h-researchers-1.5917477 "Analysis of the data reveals that a particularly intense downburst, not a tornado, was responsible for the damage" in south Ottawa, the Northern Tornadoes Project at Western University said on Twitter Wednesday morning. Maximum wind speeds reached 190 kilometers per hour, the researchers said. They measured the storm, known as a 'derecho,' as as EF-2. The EF-scale measures the intensity of wind damage on a scale from 0 to 5." Updated wind speed of 118mph
  3. 125 km/h, but probably higher judging by all the damage.
  4. Picture of the approaching derecho. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen before, first time I feared for my life during a storm. Parts of Ottawa are still without power.
  5. Still holding on to some cold for now, hoping for a big dump in downtown Ottawa to motivate the truckers to go home
  6. It was really bad. Some places had no power for a month, with temperatures in the -20’sF. Insane tree damage, it was surreal.
  7. Another frigid morning up here. It looks like I'll be spending the weekend in eastern Quebec, this storm looks chase worthy!
  8. Yes! I rode up there in July with my wife, gorgeous area. https://bungee.ca/
  9. I feel it for the 10 seconds it takes me to run to my pre heated car (for 20 minutes lol) and that's about all I can take. It's too damn cold. Give me temps in the 10s and heavy snow and I'm happy
  10. About 22'' , we didn't have much snow on the ground before Monday's storm.
  11. About 5'' of new snow today and currently 6 F, up from -5 this morning.
  12. 18.8'' total for YOW, another 4''-6'' tomorrow. Amazing week of winter weather.
  13. YYZ is only reporting 9", which is strange as I have family minutes away posting pictures of cars covered. I'd say 20''+
