Improved look from 0z for the D10-12 timeframe. Nice ridge axis out west with a deeper trough into the miss valley. Both GEFS and EPS keying on a wave coming ashore on the west coast around D7 but handle the trough behind it differently. EPS is slower with the PAC trough and this allows a nice PNA ridge to pop.

Or feel...and 90% of the post are about feelings. Ive been on this board for over a decade and you start to get a feel for the regulars' personalities and weather knowledge. There is no doubt that losetoa's weather chops would run complete circles around Balt's. I could care less about banter in this thread...or that thread. Very wet snow falling. Maybe some rain mixed in....hard to tell. 37/32 Dont see it getting lower than 34/35 here locally.

Looks like current wet bulb temps are in the 34-36 degree range across the area. Column should support snow in NW areas after precip falls for a little while. Currently 44 but a dew pt of 25.

.30 snow and sleet melted down 2.4" New snow today 31.2" for the season and day 22 with snow cover...current snowpack is about 6". Nothing crazy but a respectable wintry period....

4.5" snow today with about .2" sleet. Freezing drizzle currently. 27/25 Fun few hours this morning with great rates and flake structure. Ended up below my 6" bar but a fun, quick storm nonetheless. Let's do a real deal, forum wide bowling ball in March!

Traffic cams around Fred/Wash counties are pretty impressive. Every major road and hwy snow packed with heavy snow falling.

yeah....my first thought when it started to look like a two part event was the pause/lull between the two would be where we lose the mids and everyone mixes from that point forward. Doesnt seem to be the case right now.

Agreed....also, the start time seems to be getting earlier with the precip racing out in front and end time getting pushed back with that second part. Getting close to a legit 20-24hours of snow for some areas.
