  1. She hates wx but loves good food so we found a way to make it work. Great trip.
  2. If we’re talking about those features, they’re called whatever my wife wants me to spend money on That was the deal. She drives during the chases and I pay for whatever food she wanted. Great compromise.
  3. You bring the hot air with you? Severe chases aren’t tropical but they are nice. Even if you miss a tornado you can see so many other great features. I haven’t been on the road really since the October hurricane force wind event up here. I’m getting restless.
  4. This discussion made me go back through my pictures from last year. Such a wonderful time out on the plains even though I didn’t see a tor. Texting my wife now about getting back out there lol.
  5. That’s a tough one. Problem with severe is even with the ingredients there it’s not a lock you get anything good. You can just plant yourself in a blizzard and wait for the action to roll over you. That said, in mid April I’d probably chase the severe too lol.
  6. Was just saying in another thread that this would have been chase worthy.
  7. That would be one to chase but alas…SPC tossed out a MD saying blizzard conditions are already occurring out there.
  8. I’m so sorry for your loss. One foot in front of the other…one day at a time. Take care man.
  9. Nothing like 19-20 though. My God that was horrific.
  10. I’m a harsh grader, though I obviously had other stuff going on in my life. Sure, it’s probably closer to a 59 than a 20 lol but it’s an F all the same. The second half was just so awful imby. I mean it was virtually close the shades to me. If I were looking at CT as a whole or the region it’d be a higher grade, but for my patch of earth, this winter was among the worst I’ve experienced here.
  11. Didn't know you all waited a little longer. I'm used to starting the Mid-Atlantic one in March lol.
  12. How much did you end up with on the season? Also, paging @mappy & @H2O
  13. Did they really lol? My local CoCoRaHS was much lower than that. Not sure that changes much for me as my subjective experience was miserable, but I had (and still have) a lot going on. To me it seemed like fail after fail. Congrats points east though. I'm just talking mby.
  14. After 1/29 I recorded 5.8", no snowfall greater than 2", and I'm under 30" for the season. Even the blizzard underperformed here in terms of snowfall. The cold was pretty impressive for a time, but that's not enough to bring the grade up. Obviously 2019-20 takes the cake for awful, but this one was garbage in its own right.
  15. It's the annual thread and you know what to do. Have at it.
  16. April is here, which (usually) means that unless there's a substantive event it's time to give out final grades for the winter that was. Unfortunately for my backyard, after a decent showing and midterm grade of B+, winter 2021-22 completely flamed out. Giving virtually no effort to produce here, showed, and this will end up one of the most miserable winter's I can recall. Easy grade. Final grade: F
