  1. Usually I'd be all over if something was brewing for mid to late next week... ...but I'm going to the Cape for a vacation with some of our extended family...
  2. After 8? I guess they really wanted to try and get a winner since ties are an abomination in Baseball? I can't envision this game starting again tonight and the Royals play in Detroit tomorrow.
  3. Guess so. Surprised they are still playing considering lightning is within 8 miles and the area is under a severe warning.
  4. Are they really trying to get the last inning of the Sox game in... Sheesh
  5. Which has turned into a rather intense downpour.
  6. Pretty good rumbles in the Waltham area. Wasn't expecting this so early around here.
  7. Wow... proof you don't need to be the tallest thing around to be struck by lightning.
  8. As if on cue, a tiny little cell around Framingham pops up
  9. I don't know how reliable the site is, but lightningmaps has 90-100 strikes/minute with over 900 in the counter box for that cell.
  10. A little loud just west of Springfield?
  11. Looks like that cell was just warned.
  12. Ouch... We're supposed to stay at a place hear Menauhant Beach next month. Hope it's OK.
  13. If tornadic, at least EF-1 per the Cape Sands Roof?
  14. Some photos at this link including a different angle of the Cape Sands Inn damage: https://www.capecod.com/cape-wide-news/tree-falls-on-house-in-bourne/
  15. Of course after hoping that everyone is OK down there. Lots of unprepared tourists I'm sure.
  16. Woah! Right along the section of 28 where all the tourist traps are. Hopefully this doesn't hurt the rest of the season too badly.
  17. FFFFFF..... going to Loudon on Sunday... That may be the hottest it's ever been there if that plays out.
  18. Lightning Maps dot org is a fun little site, but it seems to have a hole around Boston when it comes to detection. Have had a number of rumbles around here, but nothing indicated on the map.
  19. When do the first buses arrive in Hopkington with runners this morning? Just a few days ago they were worried about it being 45* and raining. Maybe the thunderstorms will have moved on and it will just be raining later this morning when everyone arrives, although there are plenty of people there already.
  20. Yeah, looking out my window, I am sure glad there isn't that much wind. It would be a true disaster if it there was...
  21. Hard to judge an amount here in Newtonville, but it is pasted to everything. If I had to guess, Jerry's 10.5 seems reasonable.
  22. I'd say just about S in Newtonville, but not accumulating on treated surfaces. Coating elsewhere.
  23. Our daughters gym cancelled classes for the not accumulating on treated surfaces 1.5 inches in Newton...
