  1. Figured I'd share my getting home story, although it isn't as epic as some of the other ones already posted. Not sure how I managed to beat a bunch of traffic heading home after leaving Lyndonville, but I did. Guess I was ahead of everyone who wanted the extra minute of totality further north? Left a little before 4:00pm and took 5 south past the golf course and into St. J. Made a bit of a mistake taking Hospital Drive as it was packed getting up the hill to 91. From there it was really slow going to the 93 off ramp, but I decided to risk 91 to 89, and it turned out to be the right idea. 91 was slow, but moving ok and got to West Lebanon for dinner around 6:30. Where I went was super busy and I didn't leave there until 7:30. 89 was also slow for a while, but it somehow broke up south of Sunapee and was normal highway speed for a while until just north of 93 in Concord. Google directed me off at exit 2 onto really local roads around to exit 12 on 93. I'd guess I saved a number of minutes there. Made it to the southbound Hooksett rest area at 9:00 for a brief stop and after the tolls, it wasn't much worse than after a race at Loudon. Got home a little bit after 10:00, tired from day's driving, but absolutely worth it. I will absolutely try for Colorado in 2045.
  2. That might have been the coolest thing I've ever seen...
  3. Clouds trying to leak in... Getting cooler, that's for sure.
  4. Not the best pic, but starting to get squished.
  5. Current sky view in Lyndonville. Hoping those clouds off to the SW stay away.
  6. Made a last minute decision due to the weather to meet up with parents in Lyndonville. Left Newtonville around 7:00, ran into the traffic on 93 by the tolls, then decided to take 89 to 91 to avoid the Notch. Fairly quiet drive actually with a bit of a slow down to get onto 91 and the offramp into Lyndonville was backed onto the highway. Otherwise made good time and got here around noon. Now hanging out in a hotel parking lot with my parents and a great view of the sky.
  7. Was not expecting to wake up with a slushy coating on all surfaces his morning. 35.2*
  8. More sleet than rain when the heavier echoes roll through. Still 39.4* though.
  9. Wind picking up some with a little more sleet seemingly mixed in.
  10. After seeing the reports, I had to check myself here in Needham. There are a few pellets mixed in.
  11. Fun little squall in Newtonville. S with the sun poking through.
  12. Snowing in Newtonville. Wonder if we'll get more tonight than we did on Tuesday?
  13. Spoke too soon? Ripping big flakes. Almost S+ and trying to accumulate on grassy surfaces at least. Just wish it wasn't still 35.4*.
