  1. I'll finish your sentence, you must have been cut off... Someone bought a McLaren P1 that flooded during Ian, and now they’re trying to fix it. It will be interesting to watch... them toss tons of money at it. lol
  2. Yeah, the 'sunnier with less wind' is starting to fade (literally) as we head into the afternoon. Set a new 'cool max' again, 50.7 degrees was the high, old mark was 52.0 degrees from 2004. Least we have topped yesterday as currently it is 52.5 degrees at 1 pm, oh, with cloudy skies and NNW wind at 7 gusting to 19.
  3. Broke the 'cool max' for the date by a good bit, new record is 51.2 degrees, old was 55.9 degrees from 2020. Currently 43.7/33.8, actually warmed up a few degrees, was 41.6 when I hit the bed last night around 1 am.

  5. Yep, both 'Shoe and Canaan getting rocked in last hour or so.
  6. Beautiful pinwheel spinning over the lakes, only 3 months late.

There were 11 days with measurable, one day with a 'T' and 18 dry days. Zero snowfall for the month vs a normal of 0.3 inches, a -0.3 inches below normal and ties several years with no snowfall for the month. The averaged high temp was 68.7 degrees vs a normal of 66.2 degrees, a +2.5 degrees above normal. The warmest day was the 21st with a 84.6 degree reading. The averaged low temp was 39.6 degrees vs a normal of 38.9 degrees, a +0.7 degrees above normal. The coldest temp recorded for the month was 27.2 degrees on the 9th. The overall averaged temp was 54.1 degrees vs a normal of 52.5 degrees, a +1.6 degrees above normal. The highest wind recorded was 46 mph on the 2nd. Only record for month is the tied no snowfall. 8. You know, it's been a while since I've had that 4 letter word in my forecast in May.... And WSW's hiked up in the mountains of WV. Naturally I was ready to finish planting everything starting tomorrow in the garden lol. Think I'll wait until Saturday just to keep things on the safe side. Snow currently flying up at 'Shoe and Canaan.

  10. Managed to stay above freezing for the first night in a few, currently 35.8/33.5 here.
  11. Correct, my 'grow season' starts 4/25, so freeze warnings are up for in the morning, nothing yesterday although I hit 31.1 and several spots nearby went down to 29.
  12. Down to 31.1 for a low here.
  13. 84.6/45.3 here for the date, no where near the record, 90 degrees from 1985. I THINK that is the earliest 90 I have on the books, but I'll double check. Edit- yep, that be right.
  14. Safely in upper 30's here for overnight. Still have to make another month to REALLY be safe (last freeze May 23rd both 2002 and 1997).
  15. A 41+ degree spread for the date 82.7/41.5. Sheesh. The 82.7 JUST missed setting/tying the record for the date of 83 from 2006. Watching the rain just to my southeast this morning, hoping it gets here and swings thru.....
  16. Currently 27.7/25.4, low was 27.3 degrees here after a 47.8 high
  17. I noticed when I was in Clifton Forge around 5 pm today just after the fog/drizzle lifted that the tops of mountains to NW near KHSP were white. That is 4000+- elevation.
  18. Down below freezing (31.5) this morning, I see lots of under 32's out there, hope people didn't get the 'spring bug' and plant a bunch of stuff. WAY down in the teens at Canaan this morning.
  19. My numbers for the month of March, 2023 Total precip was 1.67 inches vs a normal of 3.52 inches, a - 1.85 below average and falls into 4th driest behind 2006's 1.03, 1988's 1.20 and 1981's 1.59 inches. Wettest day was the 4th with 0.65 inches. There were 10 days with measurable, 3 'T's and 18 dry days. Total snowfall for the month was 1.1 inches vs a normal of 4.5 inches, a -3.4 inches below normal but not in top 5 as 1982/83/89/97/00 all had goose eggs. The snowiest day was the 13th with 1.0 inches falling. There were two days with measurable, 2 days with a 'T' and 27 days without snowfall. The average high temp was 56.4 degrees vs a normal high of 54.4 degrees, a + 2.0 degrees above average. The warmest day was the 24th at 75.7 degrees. The average low temp was 31.9 degrees vs a normal of 30.0 degrees, a +1.9 degrees above normal. The coldest temp recorded was 16.0 degrees on the 21st. Overall average temp was 44.2 degrees vs a normal of 42.2 degrees, a + 2.0 degrees above normal. The highest wind recorded was 41 mph on the 15th. Three new records, a new 'cool max' set on the 20th, and new record lows set on 20th and 21st. 21. I remember that, it was sad what happened north. I'll throw my numbers up for the last 10/11 years and folks can take it for what it is. Of course, one spot doesn't equal another, so there is that too. 2012/13 25.9 2013/14 41.1 2014/15 33.7 2015/16 33.4 2016.17 6.4 2017/18 21.5 2018/19 35.2 2019/20 3.9 2020/21 23.3 2021/22 19.5 2022/23 2.2
