30 this morning, least the wind isn't blowing....yet. Crazy how windy it became again yesterday, especially in the afternoon, 25-35 gusts. Sheesh. I agree with Mappy, easily one of the windiest weeks I can remember. Oh, and the 'mostly sunny with increasing clouds late afternoon' forecast is toast. Sun was out first thing, now completely clouded over and glancing at satellite gonna stay that way.

That is the one thing we do exceptionally well in the mid atlantic.....wind. If it is forecast, it happens. Unlike rain or snow or even cloud cover, those are missed often, wind, nope. Heck, we can have 20-30 mph winds at times and they not even in forecast!

Mother Nature up to some April Fool's stuff, nice snow shower just blasted through, just coated surfaces since it is 41 out there. Still nice to see!

Sun has broke out in last 90 minutes and temp/DP has soared from 61/58 to 72/64. A warning just to my NW went up about 15 minutes ago and I can see a storm incoming in the distance.

Those southerly and southeasterly winds are racing down the back side of the apps and heating up western WV big time! 82 in Charleston and Huntington right now. Meanwhile, it is 60 here.

There were two days with measurable, 3 days with a 'T' and 24 with no snow falling. Only one day with snow cover, 1.0 inch on 13th, 3 with a 'T'. The averaged high temp was 48.2 degrees vs a normal of 46.0 degrees, a +2.2 above the average. The warmest day was the 24th with a 66.9 degree reading. The averaged low was 24.5 degrees vs a normal of 24.0 degrees, a +0.5 above average. the coldest temp recorded was 12.8 degrees on the 15th. The overall averaged temp was 36.3 degrees vs a normal of 35.0 degrees, a +1.3 above the average. The highest wind recorded was 37 mph on the 20th. No new records set during the month. Overall, a slightly drier, less snowy and warmer than average month with plenty of wind, recorded 11 days with winds above 25mph.
