  1. That is why there is that saying, play 60 minutes. Why? Because Caps led 59.59 of that one and get one point for their efforts.
  2. Yep, happened here last year. Temp was almost 40 with rain, nothing on the cars, decks, mailboxes. BUT the ground was froze solid a good 1/4 inch!
  3. I thought I had a chance at zero last night after previous nights 3.2 reading, BUT clouds rolled in around 2 am and temp stopped going down and actually reversed! It was 7.1 at 2 am and up to 9.6 at 7am. Yesterday just crossed over and out of teens with a 21.3 high. Currently it is 28.8 at 1:20 pm, may touch freezing before the sun (which magically came back out around 9 am and the clouds eroded) goes down.
  4. Didn't you say this backwards? You are looking FOR a storm from your shelter.....there. lol
  5. Yep, "I have a 'Vette'" was the line lol. I drove a '76 Subaru wagon (DL, with the even smaller engine) for first 4 months after getting my license if I wanted to drive, that was what was 'offered'. After working 4 months I bought a '76 Monte Carlo junior year in HS. Tank of a car, gf wouldn't drive it 'cuz she couldn't see over the hood lol.
  6. True in a way. Most trouble seems to come from people previously banned who figure out how to create a new account and continue in their past ways....... PS- don't let the trash get to you, y'all (the extra mod's) do a great job IMO
  7. [email protected] or Heat @heat.com should be able to give you an answer
  8. 3.2/-8.0 here with a WNW wind at 11 gusting to 20, WC of -12.7
  9. Currently 6.1/-7.7 with a NW 10/G22 that makes the WC's -8/-15. Chilly, but won't even touch records for date of -20 from 1985. EDIT- highest wind so far was 42 mph twice, once at 10:17 am and again at 4:49 pm

  11. What!?! No compounding? You're being way to easy on him there.
  12. 12/5: 1.0 12/9: 0.5 12/10: 20.3 01/13: 4.4 01/14: 0.5 01/18: 1.2 Total: 27.9 Next decent event could push me into the 30's
  13. 1.2 for a final here when I did the CoCoRaHS at 7 am. Bit over 2 for an average on the ground.
  14. Ummm...I am WAY south of 70....and 66 and right on 64. I have an inch, it is still snowing and we went under a WWA 6 hours before your area. Because the models showed snow here. PLEASE lose the IMBY attitude.
  15. I have busted 6-8 degrees low all week here. Even today, forecast this am was for 39 (yesterday it was calling for 41 today!), made it to 33.8 before the snow moved in.
  16. Not a bad snow falling here last 30 minutes, what had went back to bare ground on south facing slopes whitening up already. Snow on snow win. 32.1/29.8 after a 33.8 high.
  17. I'll just take the 1-1.5 inches most of the models are throwing around and like it. Least it would be snow on snow.
  18. We headed for record territory!
  19. They have looked terrible last 5 periods of hockey, no matter what the announcers try to convince you of. Thank goodness MN figured out how to win in SO last night, keeping my Blackhawks barely ahead of LA for last in the west.
  20. Yeah, but you know as well as anybody that over half our 'storms' are rain in the winter.....sad but true.
  21. It has been a few years, but I probably could drive it blindfolded. When wife was alive and son was young we went up into VT/NH/ME 4-6 times a year. Son ALMOST went to Lyndon State in VT, we visited it twice.
