  1. Yep, pretty awesome!! http://www.resortcams.com/webcams/wintergreen-blue-ridge-express/
  2. True. I saw a flake or two with the light rain about 5 am, but only 0.01 fell here. That isn't gonna do much on accumulations lol. Bit too far west here for precip. Stay dry north and east today and tonight!
  3. About 20 raindrops with zero snow here lol.
  4. You reversed your numbers, didn't you? I am sure you meant rain and 34
  5. I'd give 09/10 an A. I had snow on the ground close to 80 days.
  6. I'm gonna have to get back up there, used to go 3, 4, 5 times a year with wife. Haven't been since she passed away back in 2012.
  7. This isn't a final as I feel one more event is in us, especially N and W. Overall a B currently, but that is mainly due to the surprise December storm where I ended up with 21 inches on a 3-5 forecast upped to 6-10 as the snow started falling (so a fail 'F' to the forecasters). Sitting at 35.2 on the season due to that one event over a 26.7 average, otherwise it has been a slightly below average winter in terms of snow and cold. We did excellent on moisture though with temps in the low/mid 30's.... a degree here or there and maybe this would have been the banner 60-70" winter it appeared to be in the long term models.
  8. THIS ^^^ is why I love this forum. Talking about record highs and snow within three posts lol..... we are a diverse group/region.
  9. Contest???? It was a ridiculous 60.4 degrees here at 7 am.....nuts! Thankfully it has cooled this afternoon, down to 58.3 and slowly falling. The 33 forecast will take care of any shot of a record 'warm minimum' in the am. Headed back up to Highland County in morning to enjoy the last weekend of the Maple Festival. Might even get to see a few flakes too! Forecast for Monterey- Tonight A chance of rain showers after 9pm, mixing with snow after 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Saturday Sunny, with a high near 40. West wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
  10. Having spent years traversing from Lake Champlain to Acadia I agree with this. DON'T try to 'do it all' in one trip, it will leave you both exhausted and disappointed. That said, definitely go up Mt Washington, it is a completely different world up there. One of my favorite memories was the time it was in the mid 70's down in North Conway area, up on top at the observation deck that afternoon it was 40/41 with a 30 mph breeze blowing lol. They had recorded a T of snow there the day before if I remember correctly and it was early August.
  11. Well, that definitely would put me over 50" for the year and increase my 'winter score' by a solid letter grade........looks eerily like December 9/10 though.
  12. The last 4 days have been the longest stretch of non-measurable here since 10/22-10/26 2018.......
  13. All this talk is nice, but once the 97 inches of snow fall over the sites over the next 20 days show me and myself will be left battling it out.......
  14. Sorta there. I feel a day above 80 is a waste, so if we can hold onto the 'winter' longer and spring is late, maybe we can zoom straight to October lol.
  15. Yeah, way to go there bud. Cause a wreck where several cars get damaged in a 25 mph zone then stay on the phone while discussing it with the cops. Not very bright.... hope it all ends up in your favor!!
  16. That might be fixable, but yeah, NOT a great start to the weekend! Sorry.
  17. Finished with a storm total of 2.2 inches here, no complaints. Just to my north by 10-15 miles and/or another 1000 foot in elevation here they got 4-5 inches! Trees are beautiful with the snow on them this am. Better enjoy, 60's tomorrow!!! Off to partake in pancakes and maple syrup and sausage up in Highland County (it is next weekend too for those that want to go), catch y'all later.
  18. 12/05: 1.0 12/09: 0.5 12/10: 20.3 01/13: 4.4 01/14: 0.5 01/18: 1.2 02/17: 0.5 02/20: 4.1 02/21: 0.5 03/08: 0.5 03/09: 1.7 Total: 35.2
  19. You're pulling it up Rt 29 with you!
  20. After about a two hour break snowing here again. We lost half of the first round's 1/2 inch. Gonna be interesting to see if the rates can overcome midday 'heat'.......
  21. Hey das, Used to travel that route all the time headed north on 22A before wife passed. She LOVED northern VT. We spent many weeks in the Stowe/Waterbury/Morristown area up to Jay/Troy and back thru Burke/Lyndon and St Johnsbury areas. I still have my Shaw's and Price Chopper' fobs on one of the key chains lol. We were looking at getting a second house until her sudden passing back in 2012. Son almost went to Lyndon State (NVT), made two visits to campus. BTW, those of you interested in Met they have a pretty good program and are a small school.
  22. You are about an inch up on me for the day, but least it did snow lol. I am curious to see what happens when that slug of moisture gets here from SW WV in an hour or so...
  23. IF you can get there...son lives there and has sent some AWESOME (and scary) videos of avalanches past three days. I don't think Arapahoe even opened yesterday due to the threat. Monday evening he sent me a text saying only way in and out of Summit County for about 12 hours was thru Kremmling on 9 north. South to Fairplay was closed due to all the jackknifed 18 wheelers on Hoosier pass trying to detour 70 because it was closed at Officer's gulch west of Frisco and at Bakerfield east of tunnel from avalanches. Hope you have an awesome time, LOTS of terrain out there to ski/board on. EDIT- I missed that last line...actually there IS a beach on Lake Dillon on the Dillon side and at Frisco too, they just may be a tad chilly though lol!
