  1. So the 1.42 inches I got yesterday set a new daily rainfall record, beats 1990's 1.27 inches. Had 4 seperate thunderstorms/showers roll thru in a 10/12 hour period.
  2. Another severe T-storm warning, pouring again, third time today, over an inch in gauge now.
  3. Currently under a severe Tstorm warning for 60 mph and 1/4 hail. It is pouring with a few small (under grape, mostly pea) size hail and strongest wind has been 39 mph about 5 minutes ago. Power has 'blinked' three times in last 10 minutes. .35 in gauge in 10 minutes.

  7. Yep, there is something about looking out in a direction from a small hill (doesn't have to be much) and seeing forever, especially in storm season.

  10. It was warm and humid this morning, now a quick pop up thunderstorm rolling thru, pouring rain. 80.0/71.1

  13. My numbers for the month of June, 2023 Averaged high was 76.0 degrees vs a normal of 80.3 degrees, a -4.3 degrees below normal and 3rd coolest recorded. The warmest temp was 85.1 degrees on the 27th. Averaged low temp was 52.6 degrees vs a normal 57.3 degrees, a -4.7 degrees below normal and 2nd coolest ever recorded here. The coldest temp was on the 9th with 42.0 degrees. Overall averaged temp was 64.3 degrees vs a normal of 68.8 degrees, a -4.5 degrees below normal and a new coolest June on record, beating 1992's 66.1 degrees. Total rainfall for the month was 3.34 inches vs a normal of 4.24 inches, a -0.90 inches below normal. The largest rainfall was 0.97 inches on the 23rd. There were 15 days with measurable, 1 day with a 'T' and 14 dry days. Highest wind recorded was 31 mph on the 17th. One new record besides the biggie of new low average, a new 'cool max' on the 22nd. Overall a cool and semi-dry month. Records kept since October 1979.

  17. Quick nice thundershower here, caught me a bit off guard, was mowing the 'lower 40', lol I got soaked by time I got back to house.

  19. Between what fell before 7 am and after, around .20 has fallen here. Hoping for a bit more with that last blob on radar just to my west.
  20. Low of 42.0 this morning, just missed record of 41 from 1980 and 1998. Haze/smoke is better this morning.
