  1. Agree. 15.9 inches of snow and snow cover for 18 days, 24 if you want to count the "T's" where the ground was at least white at 7 am, and running about a -4 temp wise on the month. ZERO complaints here after the way the month started on the 1st and 2nd......
  2. Same here. Light snow for about 5 hours yesterday with hardly anything to show for it. Then it switched to sprinkles for about two hours before going back to snow after 6 pm and finally accumulating a bit (0.4, lol) but the roads and hard surfaces had a tough time even then with 'stickage'.
  3. Time to toss another log on the fire @jonjon
  4. That is a hefty margin to say the least....
  5. Would the camera be shaking as they ran too?
  6. Hermie's school of dentistry?
  7. *At work and attempts to open.... bells and whistles, sirens and lights going off....*
  8. Wasn't a war fought over that?
  9. LOL at NWS Blacksburg forecast discussion... National Weather Service Blacksburg VA 640 PM EST Sat Jan 22 2022 .LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/... As of 300 PM EST Saturday... A mammoth area of high pressure (near 1040 mb as it crosses from Canada into the northern Plains), is expected to expand south and east across the central and eastern CONUS for mid- week bringing another round of bitter cold. The airmass is similar to the last one with temperatures of M20-M30 deg C across the Great Lakes and Ontario and M10 to M20 degrees C into the Ohio Valley and New England. The mid- Atlantic will once again have an opportunity to test the single and sub-single digits (deg F) for overnight lows beginning Wednesday night with daytime highs failing to climb above freezing. Wednesday and Thursday appear to be the coldest days with some moderation toward the weekend. Another complex northern stream and southern stream shortwave tag-up is possible for Friday...but if past trends are a reflection, the southern stream feature may once again get suppressed. There always seems to be a model member that forecasts a stormagedon in the long range... so be careful little eyes what you see. The chicken littles will come out to play. At some point the outlier will be right, but keep in mind a blind hog will find an acorn given a little time.
  10. Was 2.8 degrees here this morning at 7 am, coldest of the season so far.
  11. Appears to make me a member of THREE areas, I'm on a triple point, MA/LMA/GL lol
  12. All I got to say is...Get off my lawn you youngsters!
  13. Rain here and 34.4/33.1. Been raining for about an hour. High was forecasted 46, hit 37.7 at 4:03 pm for max.
  14. A little spillover/padding from the lakes... 01/03 - 1.0 01/04 - 2.3 01/07 - 4.0 01/17 - 8.0 01/18 - 0.2 Total - 15.5
  15. Yep, once the snow started here yesterday precip never stopped for 19 straight hours, sadly about 3-4 of those hours were a sleetfest knocking down totals. It was even snowing (and accumulating) with nothing showing on the radar last night. Final was 8.0 on 1.30 liquid, could have been in the 12+ range had it all stayed snow.
  16. That front page for NWS Baltimore/Washington should be screen shot a few times, may never see those combination of warnings for a long, long time.
  17. I'm at work, but it has been snowing here last 3 hours plus, BIG flakes, must be the ULL? This after several hours of heavy sleet. Just a eyeballed estimate, I'd say 8-9 inches on ground now. Funny thing is last 30 minutes the radar looks clear, but snowing it be.
