So the classic 'I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out' will be said? I'm gonna edit this to add a fun experience from a game I went to couple years ago. Roanoke (Railyard Dawgs, SPHL) playing Fayetteville in a home/home series. Not sure what happened the night before in Fayetteville, but BEFORE the puck was dropped 3 separate fights started with the lined up players! I think the game started 3 on 3 with 70+ minutes of penalty time before the puck even dropped lol.

Thanks, that was a bit iffy. On phone with fiancée and told her I was gonna step into the hallway when *wham* they started falling.

So, just got power back here, I had a 66 mph gust on the weather station and have 4 trees down on my property. Two missed the house by 10 feet and are laying in front yard. That was most impressive. Between 2:45- 2:50 pm. All were pulled over with big chunks of root balls, biggest tree brought a 10 foot by 10 foot slab of dirt with it.

Upper 50's and damp here, 0.17 in the CoCoRaHS gauge at 7 this morning. Right at 80 degrees with full sun until late afternoon yesterday, awesome day to have the Monte out, put 140 miles on her driving the backroads of western VA.

If that actually happened it would give a lot of trees a break, that is for sure!! Course, above 3K feet they are just starting to come out, so maybe not....

29.7 for a low here, no record, that is 26 degrees from 1982. The 47.8 high was also not a record 'cool max', as both 1984 (42) and 1986 (46) still hold. A few cirrus in the sky showing a little warmth returning upstairs leading to a warmer day today. Yesterday had several rounds of graupel and mixed rain and graupel showers between noon and 6 pm here.

Interesting, about a two-three minute graupel shower at 44 degrees here about 10 minutes ago...

Currently 32.8 here, low was 31.0, not as cold as was forecast. I think the winds had a bit to do with that, but they definitely make it feel chilly! Had about an hour of flurries here around 9 pm.

I haven't said a whole lot, but maybe a few noticed I was gone for stretches of time over the past year..... Anyway. I met someone online back in a chat room (for trains) late Feb last year, she lives in SoCal. So, yes, I HAVE traveled a LOT these past 15 months or so, probably 12-14 times. I've flown into SNA, LAX, SEA (first meeting, her sister lives there and she wanted an 'escape' in case I wasn't who I said I was lol) and we've met in STL and DEN a few times, plus seen my son there too. I learned that it is WELL worth the extra 40-60 bucks to fly Delta, they DON"T pack you like cattle and I've only had one cancel/reschedule with them. I started with United, they changed my flight EVERY time and 'packed the bus' each time. I flew with them this last time on short notice and they did it again, so there IS a pattern, just an FYI for those flying. And so I can officially announce that after almost 8 years after my wife passed, I am getting married again in October. Never thought I would be saying that, but she is an awesome person and we are a perfect match, strange how that happens when you aren't even trying to look. She is moving here, likes the slower pace and her company is letting her work from here the last few years she wants to stay. I guess we can call this an announcement, lol.
