  3. Yesterday was just a record setter, that's all she wanted to do... High was 66.0, beats 1985's 65 Low was 49.1, shatters previous 'warm minimum' of 42.0 from 2003 1.46 inches of rain, crushed last years 0.72 record, which crushed 2003's mark of 0.43.
  4. My December 2021 observations- Averaged high was 54.1 degrees vs a normal of 45.5 degrees, a +8.6 degrees above average. The warmest temp recorded was 67.7 degrees on the 3rd. The averaged low was 31.8 degrees vs a normal of 25.7 degrees, a +6.1 degrees above average. The coldest reading was 19.2 degrees on the 20th and 21st. The overage averaged temp was 43.0 degrees vs a normal of 35.6 degrees, a +7.4 degrees above average and places in spot 3 for warmest Decembers ever behind 2015's 45.9 degrees and 1984's 43.7 degrees. The total precip for the month was a measly 0.79 inches vs a normal of 3.22 inches, a-2.43 inches below normal and places it as 3rd driest December ever, behind 1985's 0.60 inches and 2017's 0.62 inches. The 'wettest' day was on the 18th with 0.17 inches falling. There were 17 dry days, 6 days with a "T" and 8 days with measurable. Total snowfall was a "T" vs a normal of 4.2 inches, a -4.2 inches below normal and ties a couple years with least snowfall for month. The strongest wind recorded was 32 mph on the 3rd. There were two new records, both 'warm minimums', the 18th and the 29th. Overall a VERY warm and dry month. Calendar year totals 41.38 inches precip, 18.4 inches of snow. High 93.2 degrees, low 10.4 degrees.

  6. Set a new 'warm minimum' here today, 46.0 was the low, breaking the old mark of 42 from 1982 by a good bit. I remember winter in my mind, appears that will be it for a while, remembering. The snow deficit is growing daily.....

  12. Shattered the 'warm minimum' here for the date, old mark was 43 degrees in 1984, new is today's 49.9 degrees, almost 7 degrees more!!

  18. The NSASS (National sarcastic and snippy service) has just issued a "BEAT A DEAD HORSE WARNING" for the following locations until 4 pm ... Most of Maryland, Delaware and the northern, central and western parts of Virginia along with the eastern panhandle of WV. Use extreme caution over the next 2 hours.....

  21. My numbers for the month of November 2021 Averaged high temp was 53.2 degrees vs a normal of 55.4 degrees, a -2.2 below normal. The warmest temp recorded was 73.2 degrees on the 10th. The averaged low temp was 29.8 degrees vs a normal of 31.0 degrees, a -1.2 degrees below normal. The coldest temp recorded was 19.8 degrees on the 24th. The overall averaged temp was 41.5 degrees vs a normal of 43.2 degrees, a -1.7 degrees below normal. Total precip for the month was 0.63 inches vs a normal of 2.78 inches, a -2.15 inches below normal and slides into 2nd place of driest November's, behind 2001's 0.41 but ahead of 2017's 0.70 inches. Only a T for snowfall for the month vs a normal of 0.3 inches, a -0.3 inches below normal. Highest wind recorded was 42 mph on the 27th. Overall a cool and VERY dry month. As a side note, this is the month with the greatest differences when I recalculated the new 30 year 'normals', with rainfall falling off from 3.18 inches to 2.78 inches. High temp falling from 57.0 to 55.4 degrees and low temp falling from 31.7 to 31.0 degrees.

  23. First legit snow of season here, just showers, but nice to see. Was 39 when I reported to CoCoRaHS at 7 am, now down to 35.5 and falling. Wind is howling, gusting to 40-42 mph at times.
