Currently 86, my high for the day. The land breeze makes the Island one of the warm spots.

Received .96 inch of rain total yesterday evening and last night.

Just drove around the neighborhood. A few large limbs and many small branches and twigs. One tree came down and blocking most of the road.

Some future casts show a bow echo thru the area, especially around lower Westchester, we shall see.

A relative of mine in northern Westchester said trees and wires down in some areas as bad storms moved thru yesterday.

Peak gust here 30mph. but have some tree interference. High temp was 82 earlier. Still looking for first official heat wave here as I only had two days in a row above 90.

My first 90+ day with a high of 93.

My last four day highs have been 81, 83, 85 and 88. At that rate it would look like tomorrow would be my first 90 but the forecast says no. We shall see.

Just add Newark and Central Park, divide by two and this can be the average summer high temperature.

We may get hot later in the week but not today. Another pleasant day here with a high of 81 and nice sea breeze. Curently 76.
