Some were way off but I thought all in all it was middle of the road for totals.

Im definitely thinking phase and a more NW track but the northern stream can dominate and push everything south and east of us.

Lets see what the GFS has to offer. Seem it's 5 day verification score and it's taking a hit right now.

Well the short range models really cut the totals but for most the snow came and was a lot. Pretty much lined up with the GFS and Euro. The warm nose came but the damage had already been done snow wise. The ones you are reading are pissed because well they struck out but the mountains and lee side are a completely different beast all together. CAD no CAD whatever it may be the weather here in the mountains is vastly different than most can predict including the models sometimes.

Winter storm warning has been extended for the border counties until 6 pm tomorrow.

Also I think the GFS and Euro did one hell of a job with this storm especially with the lead time. Those two models did excellent. The short range model did do ok with the warm nose coming through but we still saw some great totals through the whole viewing area. Also a big shout out to all the out of towners who came into our thread. I hope we were proper guests to all the new people and that yall will come back and visit. Yall definitely were a great addition to this storm. Also a big shout out to Ward. He stuck to his guns and he did great. For the complexity of this storm his verification scores were pretty dang on the money. We are lucky to have him.

That next batch of moisture and lift should be coming into the mountains between 6 and 8 tomorrow morning and should still with the border counties most of the day.

This new snow is going to add up fast because of the water content.

Very little with the flow setup. Just my opinion though from watching these setups in the past.

Yeah guys definitely looking for some decent totals. I'd say along the border another 3-6 plus over 4000'. It's going to be snow on snow with very cold temps just squeezing out all the moisture in the atmosphere.

Yeah and don't sleep on the flow snow coming in.
