  1. Haven’t seen the snow maps. Does it cut back for the northern suburbs?
  2. 00z NAM actually cut down a little from 18z in Montco. Dryslot issues maybe?
  3. Have one here for 12+ inches. A little concerned that the mix might even come up here, but still a day of tracking.
  4. But you don’t know they will continue to go north. Perhaps the blocking even makes it go a bit south tomorrow.
  5. I don’t agree that it will be THAT NW. I still think NYC gets into decent snowfall. It will take a while to pin down where the rain/mix line sets up.
  6. It’s about the only model that dryslots Montgomery and Bucks counties, isn’t it?
  7. According to the map in the NYC forum, the CMC still gives the city 9” and me 12+”.
  8. It sure does jackpot our area. Could be the best run yet.
  9. There seems to be a dry slot limiting totals close to the city, though. Hopefully that is just the NAM beyond its range.
  10. Does the UKMet have a lot of sleet for the city? Do you think that kind of cutoff is extreme?
  11. We actually don’t do great here despite being in NW burbs, but if the models are right, we shouldn’t miss good totals.
  12. I agree. 6” in the city is very likely. I personally wonder about the N solutions because of the confluence. But we’ll see. I better at least prepare for 10-12”+ here in Royersford.
  13. This place and other online forums are the only places I know of where I can let out my delight with snow and be understood.
  14. Right now the GFS and Ukie are the opposite extremes. I’d rather the GFS if models gravitate to one or the other.
  15. I’m always afraid to get too excited about a blizzard or MECS this early, but I do think it looks good for at least 6” Philly N&W. Doesn’t look like the cutoff would be in this region, and even with a mix we’d get decent totals.
  16. Nice to see. At least we both got on the board this morning. I guess more opportunities will have to wait until next week?
  17. Got a coating on the grass. Now it looks like there is already melting. But nice winter feel.
  18. Good thing that’s a long way away. Even this year I would like a white Christmas.
  19. I’m sure they will be changeable, but as someone said, until we get evidence close in it is a safer bet to bet on milder. Appreciate your posts and look forward to updates.
  20. Sunday probably a cold rain for the big cities. We’ll keep watching after that to see if we can finally get the pattern to cooperate. Feels good to at least be tracking chances again.
  21. Indeed. At THIS point of time, but they could still change. Hope you are right that we get at least one good month.
  22. I definitely think there would be more congregating in warm weather (Thanksgiving is a big travel holiday) and I disagree even more about Christmas. I never want a warm Christmas.
  23. I hope we can make it at least close to average as a warm Thanksgiving isn’t much use with the COVID increases. People shouldn’t be out traveling.
