    Just like all the ones here in macon county the Gatlinburg fire was arson. Living in the southern mtns 80-100 inches of rain every year gets old!!!

    Yeah the wind was crazy last night and this morning. Nice dusting of snow too!

    That still doesn't make sense. Most people in wnc outside of Asheville work in another town. And to get to another town you usually need to travel over 3500'.

    People only remember the good years. 11-12 was a bad year 08-09 was the worst I can remember! There was a few other bad winters in the early 2000's as well as the 90's.

    You won't have to worry about temps with that one

    Don't sweat them. You made a great call from 5 days out, pointing out the potential long before most mets and even the models showed much of anything. Above 3500' your call was good in Macon county. Below that we couldn't get below freezing. We would have easily had 6" if all of what fell could have accumulated. Please keep sharing your thoughts!
