  1. Finished with 3.0” on the nose. Fun fact it’s December 2nd and Champaign has ALREADY surpassed our entire winter season snowfall totals from 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.
  2. I’ll take a 1-4” snowpack refresher tomorrow night. This glacier is gonna be around for a hot minute.
  3. Finished with 8.3” and a peak wind gust of 43mph, just an awesome awesome storm!
  4. The best part about this storm? It’s only November 29th. What a bang to start the winter season. Thundersnow was reported in Mahomet roughly 15 miles from Champaign. Such a good storm.
  5. Thanks dude! Haven’t been out to measure yet, but I’ll let you know! Judging from radar, a heavy band is knocking on my doorstep.
  6. outside my back door. It’s legit right now folks
  7. KCMI just reported its third straight hour with 0.25/mile visibility. Absolutely ripping right now. Stay blessed friends
  8. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/2025/md2240.html hotness. Best November storm of my life. No doubt.
  9. This is so much fun. Let’s do this again this winter. Borderline blizz conditions in rural areas in the paign.
  10. Let’s all just take a moment and appreciate the extremely fast start to winter, something that has been severely lacking the last several years. To all those in the jackpot, congrats and keep uploading pics! Still a good storm here too
  11. all jokes aside, enjoy your storm! You all deserve the jackpot
  12. 4.6” final call. Chicagoland looks locked and loaded for a solid 6-9” event
  13. Probably gonna lose a few inches due to melting and compacting here, still a fast start to winter, none the less! Love to see it
  14. As a wise man ALEK once said “miss north stank”
  15. Champaign county with the worst drought conditions observed in the state, virtually the entire county under extreme drought.
  16. I for one would welcome a front loaded winter, the last decade has been dominated by truly awful Decembers. From everything I’m seeing and reading, this year could finally buck the trend.
  17. The other shoe has to drop at some point, hopefully this extremely dry fall leads to a wet winter. Also, the fall foliage is extremely poor around here this year. I’m so disappointed.
  18. Extreme drought conditions observed in central Illinois for the first time since 2012, very little relief in the extended too. It is bone dry out there.
  19. field fire off in the distance from the low humidity and extremely dry conditions. The 17 pro max camera zoom really came in handy here. Extended forecast shows virtually zero precipitation.
  20. With no drought relief on the horizon, IF we have a drier than normal winter, could be an early and very warm spring next year. I have ZERO rain in my forecast the next 10-12 days.
