    As much as I’d root for a local TC (yes I may be in the minority) anytime you mention JB I’d use my Galileo thermometer before that guy.

    Yeah this has been happening often in our recent summers and keep asking if it’s actually a northern extension of the Trades.

    During summer the Bermuda high is more involved in our weather bringing in much more moisture from the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.

    No matter how solid a snowpack is with warmer temps and rain it will get beaten up pretty badly. If there’s fog it will go bye-bye.

    I think Heavy Snow Warnings are now Winter Storm Warnings for heavy snowfall.

    Yeah very likely but to be a little fair it's been years since we've had any major snowstorms around here. Cool stat though.

    So it's been 15 months since I've last been able to see AmericanPol and still don't have a reason why.

    The development that my mom lives at in Bedminster have already been planting crape myrtle over the last couple of years. They seem to be thriving well.

    Lost power for about 6 hours here in northern Somerset county. Apparently I'm one of the lucky ones since I heard others might be out until Mon.

    If I were you I'd prepare for delays, at least.

    Mainly the axis of heaviest rain and thus flooding shifting further east and overspreading most of the metro area. Winds would have less of an impact, save for eastern LI.

    A westerly wind causes upwelling which encourages algae growth. Easterly winds shut that whole process down resulting in clearer waters.
