    I was just thinking a couple nights ago… why don’t we just merge states with N/S cardinal directions in their name to get rid of some redundancy (ie. N./S. Dakota, N./S. Carolina)? While we’re at it give statehood to Puerto Rico and D.C. to balance out the states lost.

    On a slightly OT note I’m curious what our summer pattern will be like. I’ve heard that it could be an interesting year weather-wise.

    The #1 rule in weather is never talk definitively. Lots of things are certainly possible that we haven’t seen yet.

    The freezing level at 550mb is pretty high.

    Not to get too political but it’s NJ’s main conservative radio station so they tend to play down anything that could be perceived as CC effects.

    The fact that these rainfall rates aren’t as noteworthy anymore as they used to be speaks volumes to how much our climate is changing.
