  1. I wish I knew how to fully interpret these.
  2. I’ve never been beyond Cracker Barrel in Fishkill, does that count as upstate?
  3. Topped out at 78. Pleasant surprise.
  4. Don’t know the temp but it’s sunny and very warm on the south shore, borderline hot in the sun. Wunderground showing 76-77 around here which feels accurate.
  5. Me too, LI especially (Queens native and I’m starving out here). We were off to an acceptable start last year but the drought just killed it all.
  6. That’s scary close. I was inside of a store and I heard a few screams. It sounded like it wanted to come through the ceiling.
  7. Movie theater audio thunder right now in Lake Grove. I could hear the roof/ceiling vibrating.
  8. Finally clearing out here. Temp is 57.
  9. Sleeting so loud I thought it was hail.
  10. I still can’t believe there was a time when Bastardi was the only met I followed. I have almost zero forecasting prowess and I’ve been right more often than him by simply going with the opposite of whatever he says.
  11. CT highways are more frustrating than LI highways to me. I find the traffic flow on 495 and the Southern State Pkwy to be much more predictable than 95, 84, or Merritt Pkwy even if LI’s traffic volume is greater overall. I’ll take NJ over either of them though.
  12. I’m east of you and the snow didn’t really accumulate under that band. OKX reported only 0.6” at 8 PM after hours of heavy snow.
  13. We (largely) had hours upon hours of heavy snow and decent winds, almost blizzard-like at times but with no/little accumulation. Not sure how this can be considered a bust. I enjoyed it.
  14. Tbh there hasn’t been much accumulation with this band even though the sun has gone down. It’s been ripping but it’s also melting as my wx station’s rainfall total keeps increasing. Temp is 33.
  15. Starting to accumulate in Huntington, after several hours of heavy snow.
  16. Moderate snow blowing horizontally in Ronkonkoma.
  17. 36 and misty here. 1.78” of rain so far.
  18. I certainly hope no one’s still waiting for winter.
  19. Lingering snow tends to look filthy after the first 24 hours. I’m glad it melts quickly.
  20. Very abrupt changeover between no/little snow to snow between exits 49 and 50 on Sunrise Highway. I thought you guys were lying lol.
  21. Port Jefferson is under water and the ferry to Bridgeport isn’t running. Now I have to drive. Lovely.
  22. Light rain/sleet mix. Temp 42. The March sun felt invigorating earlier.
  23. I got an average of 3.4” with a max depth of 4.0” in two spots and a min depth of 2.5”. Low was 32.4, didn’t even dip below freezing. Decent little event. I hate measuring in storms with mega drifts several feet high and bare grass 10 feet away. On the south shore I measured roughly 1.5” with my finger.
