  1. You’ll still get your 40’s at night. Currently 73, full sun, light breeze, feels dreamy.
  2. Cherry blossoms opening up in deep Suffolk. High of 63 here.
  3. https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/colorado-ranchers-patrick-esch-ed-dean-jager-sentenced-rain-gauges-tampering-federal-crop-subsidies-nws-fcic/ KNYC’s thermometer next please.
  4. I saw this happening on the side of the road in Middle Island today and thought I was imagining things.
  5. High of 65 here, met spring feeling as it should.
  6. It’s still crazy to me how we got Feb 2015 and Dec 2015 in the same year. Record cold in one winter month and the following winter month being so warm it’d rank among the warmest Novembers.
  7. Topped out at 59. Highest temp of the year so far.
  8. Snowing moderately here in Milwaukee, winds picking up too. Not a fan, a lot of these people are surprisingly bad at driving in the snow. But it’s pretty.
  9. 65 degrees here in Chicago right now. They can thank me.
  10. 2.0” here, seasonal total now 10.7”. Flurries still falling.
  11. Didn’t think I’d pass 10” this season, total now 10.7” after today’s 2.0”.
  12. Exact same here. Still coming down. Medium sized pine tree branch missed my car by about 6 feet, I heard the thud from inside.
  13. Greetings from Wisconsin, snow lovers (which I’m not). It’s been years since I’ve seen anything like this, this picture doesn’t even do it justice. I’ve never seen *old* snow clinging to the sides of trees, buildings, etc. until now. The car was, and still is, entombed in ice this morning from freezing rain and/or mixed precip overnight. Roads that were salty yesterday were iced over (or snowy in some areas) this morning. I’m just grateful I came this week and not last week when temps were much colder than anything I’ve experienced.
  14. My PWS touched 33 but is now back to 32. Rain gauge still on 0.00” so nothing has melted yet. 2.0” average. 2.9” for the season.
  15. I almost forgot we get subfreezing high temps. High of 31 so far. Gross.
  16. Sunshower with roaring winds, a January first for me. 2.16” event total (and counting). High of 58.
  17. Pressure peaked at 1030.8mb overnight yesterday and bottomed out at 981.4mb overnight today. Nearly a 50mb difference. 3.55 event total, rainfall rates peaked at just under 5” per hour in the squall line, in the dead of winter. Our climate is really living up to my username this decade.
  18. What are the chances we see a press conference following the storm where a politician says they had no warning?
