    Just getting settled back in at the house after our having our first baby. Little boy and everything went great. We were in the hospital for the duration of the worst of the cold. Was pouring snow on us walking in which was pretty cool for this weather geek. We bottomed out at 13 at the house Friday morning after only reaching 32.7 on Thursday.     Interested to see how the storms do here tomorrow. Hi res stuff has an area of enhanced (not high) STP running up the mountains on the western edge of the wedge. Beautiful day in Boone so far. Currently 68 out here in Vilas.

    Weird weather day. Bottomed out at 31.5 with a brief bout of freezing rain and topped out at 62 and sunny.

    Gfs has been dead set on another ice threat for the escarpment next Monday for a couple days. 12z also has a lovely fantasy storm.

    Well looks like that lee trough is working out. Snow around Dawsonville and Gainesville, GA. Crazy setup.

    I've seen it a few times growing up down there. I can remember a couple that produced decent totals. Always a last minute surprise though.

    Sitting on an island above the wedge here in Foscoe. 63 at the house, upper-30s/low-40s just a few miles away.

    Warm front broke through about 730 this morning. Temp has skyrocketed almost 30 degrees already. Currently 61.
