  1. I don't disagree but there is more evidence for the the coywolf. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/coywolves-are-taking-over-eastern-north-america-180957141/
  2. About 4,500 miles. There was some riding available opening day (December 16th) but that was washed away.
  3. There is evidence/speculation that coyotes have mated with wolves on their eastward migration. Like Will said, coywolf.
  4. It looked like Bolton Valley was open last night. You can see the night skiing lights heading south on I-89 in the Burlington/Williston area.
  5. We had a "decent" December going until Sunday night/Monday, at least northern VT did. There wasn't any real cold but the ski areas had good snow and all reports indicate that the skiing was pretty good. It wasn't quite as good for snowmobiling but there was some limited riding available on opening weekend. Like I said it was "decent" not great.
  6. How much do you think snowmelt added to the rain? There wasn’t a huge pack below 2000’ but there was a lot of water in what there was.
  7. Seriously? Wiz gets a chill when temps drop below 80. He should bring long johns wherever he goes.
  8. So, you're going to Nunavik?
  9. If the ground can freeze some. it might not be that bad. I'm always amazed at what a skilled excavator operator can do.
  10. My guess is that they will probably try to use the fill from the sides in order to make it less severe. That's what we try to do with snowmobile trails.
  11. We had to do it over the entire system after this summer's floods. In my county we had one club that had to rebuild 13 bridges and replace 8 culverts. I'm afraid to think what may be out there today.
  12. There have been so many anomalous events why not have one that we actually want? Please Santa?
  13. Wrong guy. He lives in CT. I will say that we’ve lost everything at 1250’ in Barre Town.
  14. Lol. You hardly smell the etecs anyway.
  15. This will probably derail the hoped for pattern change.
  16. I hope so. One weekend open, with limited trails and we already had a bad accident.
  17. I should have clarified, we will all be smelling the 2-stroke from chainsaws. VT actually had a few areas that were able to offer some limited riding this weekend. This looks bad all the way to the County though. 57° and rain in Presque Isle and Caribou. I was in Quebec City this weekend and there was less snow there than in my yard.
  18. High wind gust of 22.3 mph but my weather station is poorly sited for wind. I believe this is the highest I've had since installing it a couple of years ago. High temp of 58.6° and down to 46.7° now. We had a brief lull where everything got calm and there was even some breaks of sun. Almost like being in an eye. Should have gone out to try and take a stadium picture.
  19. Might as well. you won't be smelling 2-stroke any time soon.
  20. There was less snow in Quebec City this weekend than there was at my house.
  21. Lol. I was sitting a t a red light, holding my phone out the car window.
