One of my fellow Development Review Board members has a vineyard and winery. He has left quite a few grapes on the vine to make ice wine. The temp needs to get down to 17° when the grapes are harvested in order to officially be classified as ice wine. I’m not sure when we are getting that low. Maybe Sunday night?
But look around

I’ll never forget the first time I had wild turkey. It was one my the. 15 year old nephew had shot. They deep fried it. I thought it was dry and I spit out a pellet.
Last night's episode of Maine Cabin Masters had them doin a ski cabin near Black Mt. in Rumford, ME. Looked like a nice ski area. I know a couple of people here have mentioned it before but it doesn't seem to get a lot of press.
My friend took this video of 3 fisher cats playing in his backyard in Essex Jct. VT. The quality isn’t great. He might have borrowed Ginxy’s camera.

No rain here. Cloudy and 48-50 all day so it could have been worse. Spent most of the day inside at a cpr/first aid training anyway so I was shielded from it a bit.
Lower your roof life? It actually shields your shingles from UV exposure. I had mine installed at the same time I had a new roof installed. Didn’t impact my insurance at all. Of course MA has ridiculous insurance rules.
Second big fire to hit Montpelier this week. The city says the wind shifted and they lost a fire truck. This lumberyard is totally engulfed and they are trying to save neighboring buildings. https://www.wcax.com/2023/11/01/crews-battle-major-blaze-montpelier/
With bright sunshine too. I ran up to the golf course and was able to get 5 holes in. Car thermo read 30° on the way out. It wasn’t that bad. There was no wind and I had hand warmers in my pocket. Currently 28.2°
