  1. Remember the guys who cut their own line down the backside of Jay a few years ago? That was State land not federal but they got like a $17,000 fine.
  2. Absolutely beautiful day for a hike/walk. Went over to Groton and walked some of the old roads and logging trails that are snowmobile trails in winter. Still snow in spots. I think we got up to 2000’-2200’ or so.
  3. Stay quarantined and follow social distancing protocols, wear a mask etc.
  4. I'd punch an old lady for the 63° depicted for me in that top map and I'd probably take a drive to that 74° depicted for Springfield, VT
  5. I have never liked any seafood. It's weird, my parents loved all sorts of seafood and my son does too. I wish I did like it, it would make visits to the ocean more fun. Imagine having to be the only guy to ask for the chicken tender basket when everyone else is ordering the seafood platter!
  6. I ate a McDonald's Filet O' Fish once.
  7. Back to Napril? 1.5" of snow here and below are the current KMPV obs 22 Apr 9:51 am 23 14 68 9 WNW 17G30 2.50 Lt Snow BKN026,OVC032 28.41 1005.2 29.64 T
  8. Snow on the ground here this morning. Maybe a tenth of an inch? The ground is white with clumps of large flakes.
  9. I know it is a pain in the ass but when I saw the trees swaying in my back yard yesterday I was sort of hoping one or two would fall onto my shed. Eveything is insured and that would allow me to replace the shed with a new, better one and replace my snowmobile that is stored in the shed too. Oh well, no insurance claim filing for me. I hope you get stuff repaired and back to normal as quickly as possible.
  10. Head east and find some Hunger Mt. woods turns.
  11. Glad you and your wife and dogs are ok. Hopefully it won’t be too bad to piece back together.
  12. That changes after a few years though. Your first winter or two up here and you feel like it’s endless snow even with a weak winter like this one. But after several normal to above normal ones when a ratter comes along you’re just as bitter as you would have been down south, plus all those weenies you left behind bag on you for complaining about your measley 85”.
  13. Rangeley is beautiful. I think it’s easier to get there from Mass than it is from here though. Driving East/west in NNE is always a pita. I have friends who have camps in the area and like going there.
  14. A friend who lives in Brunswick, ME has been without power since 9:45 last night.
  15. Just don't buy a snowmobile too, that would definitely clinch it.
  16. If winter 2020/21 rats out in NNE, we now have a scapegoat
  17. MHT will be easier. North/South travel in NNE is usually ok but East/West can suck. Even though you're on Rt.2 it can be a slog.
  18. The picture you posted was from a relatively poor winter. This year has been very uneven across NNE. Not great for pack building and not cold.
