  1. 15.4 for a high and steady light snow all day. Mid January stuff. Love every second of it [emoji3]
  2. Meatball. Did cushion the blow. Thanks for your concern!
  3. I remember it well. I walked to a Subway and got a sandwich for dinner. I slipped crossing Viers Mill during rush hour and literally crawled across 2 lanes of traffic to the curb. Fractured my L2 vertebrae and spent the blizzard alternating between being doped up and drunk.
  4. I haven’t had too many issues in New York with the sun angle.
  5. Why the hell you think I went to Canada to see snow this weekend
  6. For posterity. Stepped out from my airbnb in Ottawa Canada just now. About 15 degrees and I’d say 8 inches so far but that’s just a guess. Next stop? Parish NY tonight to try and intercept one hell of a late season LES storm.
  7. In the mood for some serious snow so drove all night and am now in Ottawa Ontario and then attempting to intersect the LES come Monday off of Lake Ontario north of Syracuse with the hope this fabulous stretch concludes with a monster coastal. Love love love this.
  8. 2.8" closing in on last years total.
  9. 26.1 with rates gradually picking up. Probably 0.2 - 0.3" so far. LWX upgraded Garrett County to a Warning - hoping that verifies. Loving everyone's pics!
  10. Already a heck of a storm! Great pic earlier too btw. Hoping this is only half way done for ya. Just cloudy and cold here 24.8/16.8.
  11. 28.9/14.4. I like @Ellinwood call for4-8 imby but think we'll be much closer to 4 than 8 here in Garrett County. Cheers tho for a forum-wide Warning level event!
  12. Up to 51.1. Not that I was happy about it, but temps rose almost 16 degrees in 50 minutes which was kinda neat to see.
  13. It's been raining steadily here for the past 35-40 minutes and I've only wet bulbed 0.6 degrees (DP depression was about 8 degrees)
  14. 27.3 and a steady light rain with that initial moisture surge working through.
  15. This sure as hell has been an hour. Just not a happy one.
  16. 30.7 for a high, now at 28.9/20.7. Before the warm surge, things will be pretty dicey around here.
  17. Might not have to haul our asses up to the Tug to get a big one (let's hope)
  18. Eh, you were clicking over mby lol. Got up to 61.7 today.
  19. Hit 40 for the first time this month albeit barely at 40.1. Windy so everything isn't a wet mushy mess (yet). Guess that waits until Friday.
  20. I did the same thing and didn't come up with anything 'official' either. I'm really surprised there was nothing at the boat ramp given it is a state park. There are some Garrett County Facebook pages I follow and a few posters here and there comment on ice thickness but that's little more than one casual observer's take on the situation.
  21. That's a good question. I went to the DCL State Park boat ramp and just walked out on the lake. A lot of people took their snowmobiles out on the lake via that ramp as well. There was nothing there about the ice - but there has to be something, somewhere because in this day, you can't just have trial and error as people fall through and sink to the bottom and go oopsie, not thick enough yet.
  22. First time I’ve been able to (successfully) walk on water. Deep Creek is in the deep freeze.
  23. Another cold morning of 5.4. Think I'm going to go to Deep Creek State Park and take a walk out on the lake a little later.
  24. Cold day with light snow/flurries most of the day. Hi was 23.7 and is 18 currently.
  25. Quite the wintry morning
