    I knew it's been dry in the last few years but dang...in LWX's disco, they mention IAD is down 33" since 2021. It's been absolutely forever since the whole forum gets a soaker. Looks like we'll get something beneficial altho the bullseye is well north.

    Got down to 29.5 last night. Received 4.16" of rain for the month so far - things have begun to green up nicely even with the chilly temps.

    Low of 33 here but upstairs it was obviously really cold. Yesterday during heavier bursts of precip, it was a snow/graupel mix even with temps 44-45. Last evening, it was steady snow with temps around 37. Had some slush on the car this morning but nothing else (wouldn't even qualify as a T). Probably the last of the frozen precip until fall.

    23 for a low and 36 for the high. Had several hours of steady snow this morning which accumulated on all surfaces until about 10 AM then the sun did its thing. Deceptively cold day out there now with the bright green grass and cloudless sky.

    0.20" so far with the temp falling from 59.4 at midnight to 44.2 now. Raw day with low ceilings.

    Radar bark this morning was a little worse than the bite but still have 0.53" in the bucket so far. The 1.75" I've received in the last week is the most since last June(!). Looks like a bit more to come which is great news.

    Man am I getting deee-stroyed by a death band today here in the mountains. Upslope is back now that Erie thawed.

    0.76" today and a total of 1.17" since yesterday of desperately needed rain. Month's total is only 2.09". Front has come thru and is down to 46. Might see a few flakes later tonight but nothing impactful.

    Winter has returned, if only briefly. It is absolutely puking snow right now lol. Quite the surprise I must say. About an inch on grassy surfaces altho the road in front is now covered. Temp is 32.2 so my guess is once the rates let up the residual warmth will melt most of it. But still brings a big ol smile regardless of what the calendar says.

    Airmass is bone dry out in the mountains as well. A perfect 50 degree spread today. 28.6 this morning to a high of 78.6 this afternoon. Kinda neat if not impossible to dress for if outside.

    0.19" yesterday. Temps fell enough overnight so that we're having on and off snow showers this morning. Currently 33.1.

    @mappy you're absolutely correct. Another beautiful day. A perfect 40 degree spread - 32.9/72.9. @wxdude64 I took my Dad to the Canaan NWR Sunday morning just to show him the Canaan Valley and there was still about 4-6 inches on the ground. He was amazed at how much more snow otg there than where I live in Garrett County. Such beautiful country.

    29.1 this morning, 75.4 this afternoon. I've been to Ely, NV several times in the summer and this reminds me of being there with the dry air and incredible diurnal spread.

    For mby, I'd give it a solid B. Right at climo for snow and temperatures were cold for solid stretches at a time. But, out here, that's what it should be. That's why we have ski resorts. Not that long ago, snowfall totals were double what we experienced. Certainly better than the previous few, but that's akin to saying I'm pumped for the firing squad vs the electric chair.

    A bit shy of 2” overnight. Very much an endangered look but gotta say 70 and sunny ain’t too shabby.

    Light snow began a little while ago. Temp just now falling to freezing; hope to have a few inches overnight. Might be the last snow for a while.

    Received 0.33" of rain yesterday before falling to freezing at midnight and sprinkles turned to flurries. 27 currently with about a half inch otg. Like everyone else, super windy. Fortunately I'm bald.

    12.8 yesterday morning compared to a toasty 66.6 (devil of a number) high today. Went out at lunch and did some light yardwork in shorts. I'd rather have the 2009 March 3rd experience, but not too shabby of a day today with 100% sunshine.

    Temp was 49.8 at midnight and now down to 20.8 with a little under an inch of snow this afternoon. Winter is back for a day and a half or so.
