  1. That's OK Getting our old fence replaced today so we need the Germantown shield. Watching them dig the new holes and man it's dry down deep. Tough folks as the sun's out and the HX is 90
  2. My point/click has a high of 79 on Sunday with sun. How's that for mid-July! Hoping for rain for my parched yard this evening, but wouldn't be surprised to get shut out for the whole week
  3. She's being singing in Germantown for weeks. I'll just see myself over to the drought thread
  4. Not for Germandesert. Near shut out as usual. Simply does not rain here in summer
  5. Sorry but LOL at those maps. Anything showing more than a trace for Germandesert is instantly wrong
  6. Running the sprinklers hard this morning as I am sure that we get shut out again today. Soil is dry as sand and the lawn feels like concrete.
  7. Just incredible. Missed a storm just north earlier, then just south now. To add insult, a new part blew up a mile east and moved off. I'll be out tomorrow morning watering my parched, cracked hard garden beds. Germandesert in full summer mode
  8. Painfully close miss to the north for my parched yard. Hope we get another shot at one later. The nice thing is it sucked a lot of heat out of the air
  9. 55 and gorgeous. Great sinkhole fixing weather
  10. My spot got lucky for once and managed to score 0.46 based on the iWeather map. Decent shower that we needed
  11. Good thing this reading from near Brunswick, GA isn't right!
  12. Time for a new gauge! A couple weeks ago my gauge had an inch when the iweathernet rainfall map had less than 0.5. Now for yesterday's event, iweather's map says 0.64 which correlates with amounts in that CoCoRaHS map above, and that darn gauge has 1.1 I think the dang thing might be metric but I don't see any markings saying so. Heck with it I'll just go by that map
  13. Managed 0.64 which is decent but was hoping for 1.0 for the dry ground. Much heavier amounts close by in all directions. That's Germandesert in summer!
  14. The Germantown shield is active today with everything dodging just west right as it arrives. This one looked like a can't-miss, until it did. I won't be shocked if I have to water stuff tomorrow
  15. What an awesome video! That nasty cell looks to put a direct hit on Richmond
  16. First shot as we are catching the edge of that cluster passing through western MontCo. I am hoping for an inch total as we've been dry and my lawn feels like concrete when walking on it.
  17. Got a patch of clouds, some gusty winds, and it's 69 degrees at 2 pm near on June 18. Unbelievable! Gonna sip beer and cook out tonight with jeans and long-sleeve shirt LOL
  18. Spoke too soon! It completely disintegrated just as it was almost here and split south. Germantown is definitely back
  19. Quite a cluster of storms heading for my area. That's what I get for watering the gardens this morning
  20. Gonna miss this round and will have to do some watering
  21. The radar over Delaware looks like a land hurricane
  22. Got some house-shaking thunder as it came through Germantown and a number of close strikes. Short but LOUD storm at 5:15 am LOL
  23. Partly sunny now and just gorgeous. I was quietly sitting in a deck chair and a hawk landed on a branch like 10 feet from me. After a half minute it silently zoomed off.
  24. 66 degrees in mid-afternoon on June 11
  25. I tied the map again and zoomed way in - still 0.96. We got waves of heavy rain in the afternoon/evening and I checked the gauge once we had a break and it was 1.1. Then it was raining hard again later at night and I had 1.75 total. Strange. The map was dead on with the 0.23 a couple nights ago.
