  1. Makes you wonder if what it would be like if that ridge was say 2,500
  2. Nice pic and beautiful yard! Is that a hummingbird feeder you still have up?
  3. I remember that! I was running errands around MontCo the day before with a short-sleeve shirt on as it was sunny and in the 60s. When I heard winter storm warning on the radio I laughed thinking no way its snows the next day. We got 6-7" in Germantown and it was beautiful how it stuck to the trees.
  4. Ji said in the other thread that this is during his work trip to FL so it's locked in
  5. You know it's dry when you walk the trash can out at 7 degrees and your breath hardly makes any mist! Funny thing is we might be firing up the grill next weekend

  7. Wow you are hard core! It looks like you are on that show Life Below Zero Already down to 16 in Germantown
  8. Got some brief flurries in Germantown
  9. 1.31 total; looks like some lollies over 2 right around the DC area. Oh what a winter storm this could have been!
  10. Mod rain and 35 with over 0.6 now. It's just mid-November so it's fine but if it does this in January we riot
  11. One last post about that Veterans Day storm -- I was curious what it was like in the week or so leading up to it. Look at these temps at DCA including 70s just a couple days before! Wow Looking to grill up some football food for the games and enjoy one last warm day before we get locked down by cold. Got 1.09" total of rain so the new grass can go to sleep happy.
  12. 1.09 total and spread out over a whole day. Could not have asked for better!
  13. If that storm was today imagine the anguish on this board with that brutal cutoff
  14. Highs in the 40s with lows in 20/30s is gonna feel harsh after that!
  15. Sitting at 0.81 as the steadier stuff moves off. Very nice! 3 tornado warnings south of Richmond near the VA/NC border
  16. Just incredible. I was in college in Tallahassee and my parents called to tell me about a huge snowstorm. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! We had some dull winters during my HS years in southern MD then soon after I leave Jan 1987 and Nov 1987 happened LOL
  17. Very happy with the rain we are getting and there's more to the south moving in. Much needed especially with a lot of new grass in place.
  18. Dulles records 81/65 for +23.6 yesterday, with 8 cooling degree days If it gets as cold as advertised after next weekend it is going to feel harsh!
  19. What an effect those clouds had -- 41 here and 43 near Frederick. Meanwhile upper 20s and low 30s near Raleigh, NC and all the way into SC. They froze before us! Even Tallahassee is 37
  20. My parents still talk about that one. They lived in the Cheverly area of PG County and say they watched those old metal trash cans blowing uphill on streets and trees bending halfway down.
  21. The next two days are gonna be great! Dry off those grills
  22. Hard to believe these were the highs at DCA the first three weeks of last October:
  23. We had dinner at Herrington Harbor a couple months back while visiting family down there and I saw how low-lying that area is. If there are NE winds of 20-30 with gusts to 40 all afternoon and night as forecasted, will that push water in there?
