I'm sure you are, but curiosity is going to get the better of me. Who knows? It just might be the motivation I need to make the move to go out to AZ and help my mom, who really does need assistance due to her ailing health. I probably should already be out there, but the wife won't go. I struggle every day with what the right decision is. Do I do a temporary, long term move without the wife and help my mom, or do I stay here, and leave mom to fend for herself? She's 95% alone out there, has severe COPD, and can barely see due to macular degeneration. Even if she agreed, I'd never put her in an assisted living center without being out there to monitor how she'd be treated by the staff.

Well, the weather's more interesting in Miami, but my mom lives in Phoenix, so for now, PHX is choice #1.

I can't speak for Mahantango, but in reality, I need to move to Miami or Phoenix...lol

It's not quite as bad with a tanker, but yes, wind sucks when driving a truck. It sure seems that way lately...

So tomorrow, per my forecast, is to be windier than today. Ugh... And after seeing that cutoff low (which may or may not actually happen) for May 11th? Just do this to me and get it over with... I used to have a love for weather, but it's really waning lately, and in reality, I don't belong on a cold and snowy favored board anyway. At this point, I just can't bring anything positive to the table as I'm so frustrated.

Why can't the core of cold air stay in Canada where it belongs?

I'm just majorly frustrated. I was listing to the weather radio in the truck and the 8-14 day outlook calls for below normal temps and above normal precipitation. I've had enough.

How can anyone be happy about 4 consecutive nights of frosts and freezes now that the growing season has started? I just don't see the merits of potentially killing off flowers and other new growth.

Seriously? I used to moonlight as a newspaper photographer, and some of the coldest high school sports events I shot were in the spring. One Tamaqua HS baseball game it flurried throughout most of game. I can't believe how soft we're getting as a society.

Last Tuesday's late April snow ride...

77.0 was my (so far) high for the day. Presently sitting at 76.6 under full on, not a cloud in the sky, sunshine!!!

I guess I should look at the positive. It my not be an optimal spring, but at least I'm not in Wyoming...lol

I assume you've warmed some, but here we have a muted sun and the temp is up to 60 degrees.

I bought one of the Hart mowers from Walmart as our Black & Decker corded mower gave up the ghost last fall. I've done two mowings with it and it's easy to use and seems powerful enough. I just need the grass to actually fully grow to give it a real review. We have so many different cultivars of grass that the cooler tolerant ones are growing fastest so it's not a nice even carpet yet.

I remember it all too well, and yes Bubbler's right it was 2020. It was the weekend I blew my shoulder out leading to my rotator cuff surgery.

Any flakes I see from now to November better only be in my cereal bowl...
