  1. Wow...all the way down to Texas and Oklahoma...
  2. Each new evening forecast cycle lowers my overnight low for Thursday morning by a degree. Now it's 29. Getting frustrated, and the weather is just adding insult to injury as far as life and my outlook on current circumstances is concerned...
  3. I haven't planted anything yet, but our perennials are established already. Bleeding Hearts are about 10 inches high and the Black Eyed Susans are growing. Tulips are ready to pop open. Ma Nature has 'em going good so far.
  4. I'm not liking the forecast low of 30 Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I hate dropping below freezing after established growth/greenup has taken place.
  5. You guys and your snow... This was on I-81 by Minersville this morning.
  6. Thanks! I didn't even realize it. If I did, I would have made it more ceremonious...lol
  7. And I froze today in a sweatshirt and spring jacket... Not....lol
  8. All of this, and if we had anything in Tamaqua, I slept through it. I did hear some heavy rain at some point, but perhaps the convection was gone by that time???
  9. It rained to some extent (drizzle after about 11am) all day here. Got 0.92" in the bucket as of this post. I just hope it wasn't too much for the fertilizer/crabgrass preventer I put down yesterday.
  10. IF it snows up here, I'm going tell my cop friends to run you right out of town... Just kidding. Of course, you are all most welcome. I'd even introduce you to a great restaurant (I'm not buying though) at the train station.
  11. I was 14 years old at the time, living in Bethlehem, and still loved snow, so it was an awesome event for sure. I remember the cold (single digit lows?) that followed, but I don't remember the wind. Wasn't that opening day of baseball season and all the east coast games were postponed?
  12. I guess maybe I deserve this, but still...THAT'S NOT NICE...
  13. Yes, it's been really nice here as well. Since my shoulder surgery I've had to put coats and jackets on left arm first, which is unnatural and awkward for me. It's nice to be able to get out of the truck to load and unload and not fight my coat sleeves a half dozen times a shift...lol
  14. This board is starting to depress me...
  15. Not sure either, but probably Phoenix or Miami...lol
  16. 21 here this morning with frost. I wasn't thinking and didn't cover the tulips and hyacinths. I wonder if they're going to be toast now...
  17. I-81 at exit 119 (Highridge) this morning...
  18. Now you know your not going to get away with posting this without a rebuttal by me...
  19. Add 30 degrees to that and you have my idea of a beautiful morning.
  20. Something nasty rolled through Neptune, NJ this evening. Pics I saw were of damage to car windows, and lumber (presumably structure damage) strewn about. Don't know if it was straight line winds or a small spin-up...
  21. They really haven't been bad here...yet. But as many others have pointed out, In my 53 years on this earth, I don't remember having as many wind events as we've had the past few years.
  22. I've seen heavy frost here in the coal region as late as Memorial Day weekend, so cold is not out of the question until we get to June. At least anomalous events like that are USUALLY short lived. As for April cold, I've often said that April can be a cruel month for those looking to break out into spring mode.
  23. I've been saying for years now, that April can be a very cruel month. Most (even a lot of winter/snow lovers) have gone over to Spring mode. The tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, etc are popping out and growing, and then, bam...one or more arctic blasts with snow potential.
