  1. I'm on the edge of a high cloud deck. Mostly cloudy to my north and brilliant blue skies to my south.
  2. We are expected to wash it once per week. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but if we don't make attempts, we get told about it. Most times I have to go in on a day off, like I did yesterday morning, to get it done. They sure look nice when they are clean, which is why it gets frustrating when it rains a day or two later. Going past Meckley's quarry, mine gets really messed up if the road is wet, due to all the dirt the dump trucks drag out of there. Here's my nice clean ride after yesterday morning's bath...
  3. I am so sick of seeing a chance of showers in the forecast nearly every day. I sure wish we'd get a good old fashioned summer long drought. I spend three hours washing my truck (it's a job requirement) for what amounts to one to perhaps two days before it gets road grimed again from the rain. We get paid to do this, but it's pretty damn labor intensive when you have to do it by hand with a bucket and a 12" brush. Trust me when I say this, it is NOT the same as washing a personal automobile...
  4. I got to 81.5 here in Tamaqua. I was expecting only about 75-78.
  5. I'm ok if Mahantango does it. He's as much a warmanista as I am, and besides, I'm a jinx. Look what happens to storms when they get close to me.
  6. This Phillies fired Girardi today... https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/phillies-fire-joe-girardi.html
  7. Yup. Last night was north, today is south. Here I am stuck in the middle...
  8. Looks like the train is moving closer to the station as storms are firing and lining up to my northwest and looking to (possibly, if they hold together) hit here between 9:00 to 9:30pm. Holy crap...
  9. Lots of storm action missing me just to the north.
  10. My backyard station says it's 86.2 currently. In Fogelsville, where I'm sitting waiting to get unloaded, the nearest station shows 77.5
  11. Made it to 90 today here in Tamaqua. For those with Facebook, check out this quick Memorial Day video from the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming... https://m.facebook.com/groups/704889582866623/permalink/5396092767079591/
  12. I miss the heatwave of old, when they'd last for more than a day or two, and then when it would break, it would still be in the low 80's. I suppose it could be that back then I lived in the Lehigh Valley where it was considerably warmer than the arctic Skook, where I live now.
