    She's a doll - 9 weeks. We lost our 9 year old in June. Didn't think our hearts would be ready to open up again this soon, but lo and behold....

    Just starting here. Here is me with the new pup and you can see the color is starting. It should be great in 2 weeks. We are probably 20-30 miles sw of the lakes.

    I like it. It does have some charm and a lot going for it. Like many places it does have some challenges.

    She's got a certain spirit to her, and she dive bombs me with those sharp little puppy teeth. I want to yell at her but all I can do is laugh.

    Oh that is hard...I learned a lot from my dogs about the process of grief. We lost one in June at too young of an age. Saturday we got a pup and I'm over the moon. Good luck, it will get easier, but you know that already.

    nice cold nights for this early. enjoying it, actually need gloves in the morning. dry as a bone though and that is becoming disconcerting.

    very thankful for the lovely and needed rain we are getting up here.

    Low expectations from early looks at winter seasonal outlooks means we don't have high expectations. I like it better this way, than the drama of disappointment due to those high expectations. It can only get bette!

    To me this is ideal. A nice soaking rain in the middle of summer and wind gusts that don’t get too bad and start harming the garden and the fruit. Who needs a tropical storm with Highwinds and flooding rains in mid summer? That’s crazy save that for September

    10 minute shower with Sun and now nothing. Radar unimpressive. This is getting weird. All the while my wunderground forecast says 2.86 inches of rain with tstorms. Lol

    I will believe nothing, not even radar echoes, until I see the ground getting wet and drops pouring from the sky. We mist our chickens btw, and at first they run away, but then they like it and stop breathing heavily.

    And bad trends in overnight models. Dunno if drought declared but this is getting quite bad up here. Any hope on the horizon?
