Thanks. Wanna hold onto the pack. I mean I feel generally very optimistic with the blocking that is starting to set up, especially given that those regimes tends to both last and to repeat. Hopefully no 2010 style disaster though.

which one? I thought we might be dealing with 2 warmer storms before we get cold? But I guess as blocking builds, storm tracks will improve for us.

hopefully we can avoid too much rain this weekend and early next week up here, because there is probably 10" in the woods. I'd hate to lose the pack after this stretch.

a foot of snow and counting over a 5 day period, with measurable on 4 days. The outlook for squalls looks much less exciting for tomorrow so we might not get 5 out of 6.

Yup, I'm looking at my home security cam. Looks like viz still at 1/4 or below. Surely up to 6, so likely to qualify warning, and it seems back building and banding is occuring.

That heavier band keeps redeveloping back from Belknap into central merrimack. I'm in London but my home security cam looks like steady at least moderate snow. All Mason has said is "good accumulation." He is trying to get our tractor back with the new snow blower attached. 1500 ft. driveway will need plowing.

Exciting to see WPC talking about big NAO and AO blocking setting up later in week into next week. These big events often last for 4-6 weeks yes? I would think the storm over the weekend would be borderline for many but that soon after the block would allow some fresher cold air to come in and a big storm toward month's end. Once these blocks set up, shite starts to happen with the modelling.

From GYX: Indications continue that a large and slow moving storm may form along the southeastern seaboard late next week and into the weekend. Will continue to monitor as we will be entering a high period of astronomical tides.
