    Snowing nicely since about 8pm but due to poor snow growth it's accumulating very slowly.

    The pre snow pretty much just fizzled out, there's still random flakes drifting around. I can call it at just under .5. Nice day, now let's get this thing wound up, eh

    For years (decades) we'd be happy with 3-6 but after 25 years of frequent blockbusters this leads to meltdowns.

    It hasn't stopped snowing since about 10am, intensity has varied between very light and not quite moderate. There's close to a half inch on existing snow, .2-.3 on elevated surfaces and barely wet pavement although as soon as it got dark it started sticking on the pavement too. I saw temps between 31>34 while out this afternoon, it's 25-29 around town now. There's still no wind too speak of.

    It's been snowing all day now with almost nothing to show for it. Seems like a waste but it's nice to look at, I guess. That's what happens with super light rates at 32-34° with filtered sun. It is starting to coat the pavement now though. I dunno, I never expected more than 3-6 so all the chatter has been nothing more than entertainment, as usual.

    Here too, the pavement is wet but the snow is accumulating everywhere else. Good.

    I think there's something to that. Get the column saturated and prepped so when things start to happen it happens quickly. 28* with flurries starting here now and barely a hint of a WNW breeze.

    Take 90 to 87 rather than 390 and 17. Stay out of the hills and on the big roads.

    And it has that wavering around for a few hours. This is looking pretty interesting. Guess I should go get some gas for the generator huh.

    I'm no good at math. I used to get my kids homework wrong when they were in second grade so the teacher told them to find someone else to help. I'm ok with it.

    That's what I told my wife this morning, this one is more about the timing than most.

    The sites on WU are generally private property and sometimes businesses and those are all developed spaces of some sort so will be warmer than 1/4 mile away where it's undeveloped. When you're looking for a difference of just a few degrees that's where you'll find it, developed vs undeveloped. Like I said, take a thermo and go for a walk, I bet you'll find what you're looking for.

    I see a few 1s and 2s but it's between 4-7 up here on the hill. Gonna spend the day prepping for the flizzard.

    Questionable or no info going in can't give a proper solution, can it? I have a feeling that if you went out into the pine barrens and put thermometers in some of the hollows away from hard surfaces like runways you'd find slightly lower temps. Of course the temps balance out quickly, a little bit of mixing moves the air around and up goes the temp.

    Yeah? No. I was gonna get one of those 10x20 tent things but my wife wasn't too hip to the idea. I gotta figure out something soon because having no car really sux.
