  1. Tough call on the temp, it varies by 5° in a half square mile area from 23-28, SSE 3-5 and snowing nicely. Good flake size and it's starting to accumulate.
  2. Stayed warm and wet here. That's ok Drying nicely now with the sun through thin clouds.
  3. So that icy map posted sort of rang true. It was probably one or two degrees too cold because the crunchy stuff only made it down to the road level (Rt 17) twice, when the road goes over 1500 feet. The icy areas forecasted on the map were but it was above the valleys. By taking 17 to 390 I was able to stay just south if the frozen precip and skirted it until we crossed I90 in Rochester. There's 1" of frozen garbage on the ground up here now.
  4. 37 with drizzle. Precip type radar shows it as frozen with snow pretty close. What's actually happening north and west of here? I'm about to get in the truck for a (long) drive.
  5. Mmm yummy 62° with a nice SSW breeze. Got a bunch of car work done and gonna dive back in and do some more later. Driveway and patio are blown clean, yard stuff is piled and out of the way and... and...
  6. How about west? I need to pick my kid up at Brockport because they have to clear out the dorms so I'm committed. The blue blob over Rt 17 looks like it might be slow going. Then Sunday looks like a slow ride home too. Why can't it be like the last few days...
  7. Yeah this fog is the real deal. We're at the casino in Monticello on the 9th floor and I can't see the parking lot below me except when it downpours heavily and knocks it down for a minute. Heh, if anyone is out and about this afternoon you should come visit us at the holiday craft fair at Bethel Woods, look for the 'Looming Madness' booth.
  8. The name sux though. Looking forward to warmer weather on Monday.
  9. You think so? I like it. When I went over it last night with the towers wrapped in swirly, snowy, misty weirdness in the lights it was really artsy and cool looking. .2-.3" here. Looks nice.
  10. Everything is nicely coated, .2 maybe .3". The roads were just starting to whiten when the snow stopped, now they look snowy and icy but it's just a half inch of salt lol
  11. Yay? I'm good with a little more warm weather. I have more car parts incoming that got misshipped and I hate jacking cars up and working on/under them in the cold and snow.
  12. It was windy. Now it's cold. So, the storm on Wednesday isn't a storm?
  13. With what it costs to heat a home right now maybe we should be appreciating the relative warmth. There's my morning thought as I'm realizing that my commission checks from November are going to be terrible because I had so little available to sell
  14. Yup, snowed for hours here and left all elevated surfaces nicely coated.
  15. Heckuva way to run a warm and dry period. 5 days in a row with snow and it accumulated 3 times, not bad for November.
  16. Snowing with the ground coated. @Juliancolton I saw pics from E Chatham with over a foot this morning, waddaya got there?
  17. Snowing lightly, ground is coated. I just saw a bunch of pics from East Chatham (NY) where there's over a foot on the ground!
  18. Aww man, so how do I explain away driving the length of West Ridge between Rochester and Brockport searching for the elusive 2"+ zone
  19. Snow on the ground this morning in Brockport. Not much, maybe .3", but it was nice driving in it and watching it fall (sideways) out the hotel room window.
  20. So is this like a Tinkerbell wand or the Wicked Witch of the West? There was semi frozen precip up and down the Hudson Valley today, that was nice to see. I think I'll get my fill on Mon/Tues going in and out of Brockport as it looks like a good LE event starting while I'm driving up. Yay.
  21. No there are (many) mangled flakes mixed in. Well, there were along the Taconic a few minutes ago and now it's flurrying in Tivoli.
