  1. I got .4" FKNA yeah!! Drought buster for sure Sun is coming out again Maybe the second line will hold together and come through later and I can pull a few more tenths. Friday looks interesting.
  2. I was on the road all day but watching the radar has been interesting. That storm cluster west of the river looks to have put down a lot of water. It pretty much sat and dumped for hours. Who got it and was it as much as it looked on a phone screen while driving?
  3. So it looks like todays storms will be further south and the mid Hudson Valley will be mostly dry, is that right? I need to run up to a little north of Albany and just want to know what to look forward to.
  4. Nah, any higher than mid 80's is no good. 78-82 is perfect. Maybe you don't pay for the electric to run the AC or maybe you're just weird
  5. 82/69 at the station a mile north and 85/72 a mile west. It's almost uncomfortable, few more minutes it will be for sure.
  6. More onshore flow More onshore flow ... I really don't feel the love for 90+ temps anymore.
  7. Woohoo. I won't be directly under the cone of emptiness anymore.
  8. For all the storms and all the rain in the area I ended up with well under an inch for the week. It came at just the right intervals to keep the garden nicely watered though because it wasn't sunny enough for long enough to dry it out. That also means the bugs are going to town because it's been constantly damp. Hopefully the dry weekend puts them down and next week is similar. I don't need the heat like everyone else on the board. Weirdos
  9. Meh, a few minutes of heavy rain, some wind, a couple of thunderclaps and a few lightning flashes. Nothing to write home about but it did drop thetemp about 15°. .4"
  10. That line is just getting to me now, rumhley grumbley... Lets see how it does.
  11. It has some wonderful clouds, it slid past a few miles to my west and looked good. The next one looks even better.
  12. Overcast with thin clouds, temp is 85. It's muggy and uncomfortable.
  13. *fizzle* It looked so good for so long. Again, I can pretty much see where it's raining as it slides by to my west. I'm getting some decent wind. Maybe it'll set the last 50 tomatoes that have been waiting out the heat and now that I've got some female flowers on the melons maybe those will pop too.
  14. Take a look at that storm complex headed south into Columbia and Dutchess County. That looks like the real deal. Duck...
  15. Ha! The same thing happened to me. About a mile to my east was 1+ and I was in that light blue zone. All told I'm ok with it though because a couple of wet days in a row and the ground is soaked.
  16. JC getting a good soaking today. Finally...
  17. I've had storms drop west of me and now they're east but I've been in the slot all afternoon. It's been a really great cloud show with comstant rolling rumbles and a stray raindrop or three.
  18. A mile or so away from me got 1/2" hail, I didn't even get a drop of rain.
  19. I was driving around CT today working, it rained moderately a few times but nothing special. There were some great dark sky periods but again, nothing really special. My wife said it rained here (Mahopac) but not much at all, it was dry when I got home at 6. Edit: looks like .12 here
  20. I know that we're down on overall rainfall but this constant wetness is a disaster for my garden that was doing so well. I had to remove a half dozen plants this morning due to a cabbage worm infestation and the slugs are going to town on others but I think I got that under control. I'm also seeing a fair bit of rot happening and there was none at all last week. I can handle intermittent large amounts but not things being wet all the time. Sorry, back to your regular programming.
